have been closed all day. police officers are stationed outside in that unmarked car. on saturday at about two o'clock, police were called here. a neighbour heard the sound of children crying inside. when the police arrived, they found the body of a 26—year—old woman. she had fatal head injuries. in another pa rt had fatal head injuries. in another part of the house, her husband was lying dead. he had taken his own life. three children that were in the house are currently being looked after by close relatives. they are also receiving specialist counselling. they are incredibly traumatised. the police say they are under eight years old. one of the children is a baby. given the fact that this is thought to be a murder—suicide, police say they are

not looking for anybody else in connection with this tragic incident. terrible events. what have neighbours been saying? there must be shot in the community. there is a huge amount of shock. this is a very quiet neighbourhood, mostly young families. they did not want to come on camera, they are just shocked and traumatised by what has happened inside this house. they have said that they don't even get anti—social behaviour going on here, so to have something is tragic as what happened on saturday taking place on their doorstep is a real shock. thank you. norfolk police have warned people to stay away from a woodland area after a dog—walker in his eighties was stabbed to death. the body was found near east harling. the man was described as a "family man". alex dunlop has the details. a few metres in from the cordon, you

policing presence at the scene. the area of woodland is two miles south of east harling and popular with local dog walkers. the man who died lived in the nearby village. today, police stepped up patrols in the area and carried out house—to—house inquiries. just disbelief that it has happened here. in towns and big cities, you can imagine things like this happening. but not in a norfolk village. you always meet other dog walkers, so i always felt safe there. while the scene remains sealed, the weapon, thought to be a knife, has yet to be recovered. the motive for this brutal attack remains unclear. let's bring you an update on one of the stories we will bringing you earlier. this is about a man whose body was found at his house a month after he had been reported missing. he was found dead at his home on

saturday and the 64—year—old had been reported missing onjuly the 7th. a large—scale search had been held for him including divers, mountain rescue teams and police dogs. police scotland are now referring their handling of the case to the independent police watchdog, because the body, in the end, was found in the man's house. we are just hearing a statement from arnold mowat‘s family, saying "we are devastated by the loss of a loving husband and father. we are now trying to come to terms with what happened. we would like to thank eve ryo ne happened. we would like to thank everyone for the support we have received, but we now ask for our privacy to be respected so that we have time and space to grieve. that case has been referred to the police watchdog, the police investigations

and review commissioner. time for a look at the weather... it has again been one of those days in parts of the british isles. it is not wall—to—wall wet weather, but in some locations, it has been quite tricky. let me show you motherwell. no complaints there. fir park, never looking better. but come further south and we run into an old weather front which has had enough about it to be producing the odd moderate if not heavy burst of rain. further north, it has been another day of sunny spells, but occasionally, the copybook has been blotted by the odd shower. overnight, we keep the weather front going maybe a tad further north and still with a bit about it. underneath the veil of cloud, temperatures will stay in double figures. but further north

and west, once you get away from that cloud, down into single figures. not only do we have that weather front to contend with, but keep an eye on this area of low pressure and its attendant cloud and rain because that will eventually be a player in the south—east of england. again, not all doom and gloom. for a good part of scotland and northern ireland, some areas may stay dry and bright, but there is that speckling of showers. we have the odd weather front on that diagonalfrom north—east the odd weather front on that diagonal from north—east towards the south—west. and it is getting a bit ofa south—west. and it is getting a bit of a second wind, disappointingly. it is almost blended in by this new area of cloud and rain, some of it quite sharp. there are met office warnings about this, so i'm afraid it is one of those days for england and wales. we ended tuesday on a more cheery note. the sunshine will be there to be had amidst the

showers across scotland and northern ireland. from tuesday into wednesday, you see this low pressure unusually moving from south to north, but it leaves a legacy in this south—eastern quarter. it is going to be another one of those days. east anglia, the midlands and the south—east will have one of those. elsewhere, a decent sort of day provided you don't harp on too much about the fact that it should bea much about the fact that it should be a good deal warmer. thursday, a ridge of high pressure toppling in. friday, a new set of weather fronts toppling in, hence the cloud and rain. the headlines at 7:00: the right to be forgotten — under a new law social media firms will be required to delete information about their users, when asked to do so. north korea says the united states must ‘pay a price' for drafting
