north korea. on the other hand, this rhetoric is... it is quite over the top. seeks to undermine the very serious point, usually you have euphemistic language, talks of neutralising a threat, seeking to contain an aggressive nation. threatening to totally destroy another country is just insanely aggressive. is it the kind of language the russians and the chinese might understand? and in fa ct, chinese might understand? and in fact, playing to his home audience, in america, also playing to them, because he knows that they, or he believes that they have outsized influence when it comes to dealing with north korea. this is an attempt for him to flex his muscles on the world stage. we know he does not have that much truck with these organisations which are meant to bring nations together, he can be isolationist in his approach and wants to lead from the front. on the notion of this being, call, kim
