there is no doubting that sol campbell had an outstanding football career. he played 73 times for england, won to premier league titles, three fa cups, and the league cup. but it could have be all very different for the former arsenal and spurs captain while growing up in east london. campbell believes he experienced a "click" moment during his early teenage years which made him realise he had a chance to make something of a football career and walk away from trouble in his neighbourhood. the former england defender has been back to where he grew up to meet a childhood team—mate he has not seen for 30 years that wasn't so lucky, chris slegg reports. when they were kids sold campbell and robber bride used to play for put together on the streets after school. both had talent. sol campbell went on to be professional, robert didn't. you were an exceptional player. years ago, i grew up in the same area. you know the temptations. went out, did the wrong things. wrong attitude. he has been mentoring these youngsters about their crossroads moment, choosing to work hard at school and sport. instead of getting into
