the wembley dream is still alive. a dale dream done in their own way. for this team a goal and a result worth all the effort. it was an amazing game and an amazing event for us. it was a real pleasure. we took the opponents on. we knew how good they were, but we tried to take them on. it was sacrificial behaviour at times from the players, but they were all magnificent. we knew having gone 1—0 up in the first half we had almost hit the bomb and we knew what was coming in the second half. although we got a bit deep, and we responded, and they could have gone down but they did not after the penalty. i feel as though we got a deserved equaliser.

i was calm on the bench. i know very well what happens if you believe that you were going to win and that is what happened. it was two minutes and i think it was a clear chance. it was the 5th round of the womens fa cup today as well and defending champions manchester city are in to the quarterfinals after beating last year's runners up birmingham city in extra time. 3—1 was the final score. all eight ties were played today, amongst them arsenal beat millwall 1—0, chelsea put 6 past doncaster belles, durham beat leicester 5—2. there have been a handful of championship fixtures this weekend for those teams not involved in the fa cup. tim klose scored an injury time equaliser to rescue a point for norwich city in the east anglian derby against local rivals ipswich town at carrow road.
