we we re as you might imagine, this is what we were waiting for and more to the point, this is what the many, many hundreds of people gathered here at the gates to windsor castle have been waiting for. the groom, the night before his wedding with his best man, going to shake hands and ways, flashbulbs going off, to say hello to some of those who have been waiting on the streets of windsor for much of this week. just a few hours to go to his wedding. our royal correspondent is with me. this ta kes royal correspondent is with me. this takes us back to what we saw the night before prince william's

as far as we can tell, we are not very far away, they both looked relaxed, as far as we can tell. harry looking particularlyjovial. and as we have become accustomed, he is very natural with the crowds and the crowds love him. you might be able to see as well, he's crouching down which makes me think he is talking to children in particular. he has been picking up the children in the crowd and talking to them. he is trying to reach back into the

crowd as far as he can. just in case anyone is wondering where meghan is, she is actually going to be heading to her hotel about 20 minutes away from here with her mother for the evening. she is not part of the walkabout. prince harry and prince william have stayed on so they can meet the crowds. but she is heading with her mother to the hotel where she will spend her last night as a single woman. some of those working with prince harry are trying to move him down the crowd. he has been handed a teddy bear. there is just a real clamour to talk to him from those who have been waiting for so long. this is a close sibling relationship, considering what they have been through since childhood.
