11:10 am
before reading, i have been instructed to say something for myself, and we all know, we end up doing what clarrie says. in a way, coming here from your, has felt like intruding on other people's grief, like trespassing others‘ holy ground. but the reality is what happened a year ago affect trade us all over the country and all over the world. friends in africa asked,
11:11 am
how can this happen in one of the world‘s most developed countries? today i salute you, who have all this horror with such courage, turning grief to hope and righteous angen turning grief to hope and righteous anger, insisting that truth be known and lessons learned. but today, we simply stand together in solidarity, united in sorrow, love and hope. remembering those who died. so this is what archbishop centre moon says today. my prayers are with you as you stand together in lamentation and loss, in love and hope, may god bring you comfort and
11:12 am
peace today and courage for the road ahead. the lamentation continues of course for dear ones who died in the fire and fora course for dear ones who died in the fire and for a whole immunity injured by the horror and shame on that night a year ago. the love is evident and is an example to us all in the way you have stuck together through this year, you have given each other strength. i dare to pray also that in the darkness you may know the light of hope, the assurance that comes from god, who makes each one of us in his image and whose purpose is that we live life in all its fullness. i am thankful that the voices of grenfell survivors are now being heard, painful as it is for all who hear
11:13 am
them. as i said last year, it is vital the truth be heard and known because it is the truth that sets us all three. with truth comes the possibility of justice all three. with truth comes the possibility ofjustice and reconciliation. i believe in a god who is love embraces us when we turn to him enjoy or in sorrow, in the good times or the bad. we never need to be alone. god is with us. at the end of the day we have hope, life is possible, and both justice end of the day we have hope, life is possible, and bothjustice and transformation are possible because for mejesus transformation are possible because for me jesus is transformation are possible because for mejesus is risen from the dead. may god our father lest all those who mourn today and by his spirit fill us with faith, hope and love.
11:14 am
sentamu. thank you. thank you. this is my brother ambrose. we are going to deliver a joint message of hope. good morning. just over a year ago, sorry, just under a year ago, in the event which was put together necessarily, but hurriedly, it was
11:15 am
to bea necessarily, but hurriedly, it was to be a way in which all of us who we re to be a way in which all of us who were affected by the tragedy of g re nfell were affected by the tragedy of grenfell could come together as one. and to seek solace within each other and around each other. as has been said already, and it was mentioned when we were here a year ago, truth and reconciliation. if we have the truth, then we can reconcile, we can come together, in the face of adversity, and real adversity, have we not come together? as an ensemble? we won‘t grieve alone. nobody will grieve alone because we won‘t allow them to. it is not about single cases, there are families who lost multiple members, but what is
11:16 am
important, from this day onwards, is that those who we have physically lost will never, ever, ever be forgotten. and it is incumbent upon each and every one of us that they are never forgotten. each and every one of us that they are neverforgotten. and further, that they are revered. because we are sure that the truth will not just represent —— presented sell but announce itself in such a way that the tragedy of grenfell tower can never, ever, ever real kur —— re—occur. to all of you who lost family members, to all of you who lost friends, to all of you who lost the sense of community, i ask that
11:17 am
we come together as one today and ensure that that loss is weakened and the unity is strength you. applause -- is —— is strengthened. -- is strengthened. furthermore, i would just like to say, in the name of humanity for grenfell, let our conscience be our guide. let our daily mantras become love and respect for our neighbours, as you would love and respect yourself. as we are here today, we pray for all family members to further receive strength, courage and faith to continue daily and with all the
11:18 am
wonderful memories of their beloveds and departed families, because memories will never fade. lord, we ask you to send us healing. help us all to come to terms, with the 72 angels ascending into your heavenly realm on the 14th ofjune 2017. i would just like to say, as a community, coming into this community, coming into this community, it was my cousin's death that brought me in, and i will tell you, we have a unique community here. we cry together, we laughed together and we build together. as we herald in a new dawn, let our consciences be our guides, we do not cry alone. give thanks.
11:19 am
applause i would just like to point out david lammy is going to give a tribute as well. well, today is a bittersweet moment. i think back to this time a year ago and the chaos and confusion of that morning in my own home. i think of
11:20 am
the search in those early hours for the search in those early hours for the missing and how that search went on. and in some ways, still goes on. i think of the beauty of the young life that i knew that was khadija saye and all that she had to offer this country. and i think of all those over 71 victims who lost their beautiful lives and i think when i look at their faces, the humanity thatis look at their faces, the humanity that is our country, black, brown and white, and all of those possibilities that have been taken from us. but i think also of the days that followed grenfell. i think
11:21 am
of my friend, the local mp, emma dent coad, ringing me up and saying, "please come down." and walking here on the friday and the saturday and seeing those amazing volunteers, people coming from all over the country, sending food, clothes, organising, supporting people, comforting people. the queues, the lines, the organisation, the deep humanity shown by the british people and faiths and people of no faith coming together to hold each other and pray. it was a wonderful, wonderful moment and a tribute to oui’ wonderful moment and a tribute to our country. and it is that moment, when we looked in the mirror, that i
11:22 am
think we need to renew and hold onto a year later. this was a country that organised so fantastically, organisations like oxfam, like amnesty international, like the red cross. this was a city with 33 london boroughs who gave us this great city, organised so much that was civic and in this community, burst on side, african community, the notting hill carnival and this was a country that after the second world war, we build council houses that people were so proud to move into. so this is a moment that we ask what happened? what happened
11:23 am
with that civic? with that local? with that pride that we had in our home? and we renew ourselves in that quest forjustice on behalf of those that died. justice. answers. and they healing that flows from knowing never, ever, ever again can people die ina never, ever, ever again can people die in a preventable fire and all of those that live in the surrounding area can be so traumatised by the pain of what they saw that night and what they carry in their hearts now asa what they carry in their hearts now as a consequence. what they carry in their hearts now as a consequence. thank you. applause niles is here. i think a lot of

"wherever the river goes, every living creature "that swarms will live, and there will be very many fish, "once these waters reach there.
