as we head through the rest of the week, there is no significant rainfall in the forecast at all, but it will feel cooler by tuesday and wednesday — 2a, 25 celsius. but it will feel cooler by tuesday those temperatures rising with some cloud at times as we head through the working week. cloud at times as we head that's it. this time next week, england might have won the world cup! i hope you have a good week — and the england team too. good evening. after another warm, sunny and dry weekend, some subtle changes in the forecast over the next couple of days. more cloud and slightly cooler conditions for a time. this is how we ended sunday in devon, clear skies. many time. this is how we ended sunday in devon, clearskies. many of time. this is how we ended sunday in devon, clear skies. many of us keeping them overnight. more cloud, as you can see, pushing over parts of scotla nd as you can see, pushing over parts of scotland into northern ireland. the cloud in the north will continue
10:31 pm
moving south tonight and over the next few days, introducing cooler conditions. further south, especially in central and southern england, into wales, temperatures holding up overnight at 18 degrees, so quite warm. cooler further north. although we have the high—pressure driving the weather on monday, there isa driving the weather on monday, there is a cold front pushing its way south and behind it, to the north, we'll have some fresh air. temperatures in scotland, in places 5-10d temperatures in scotland, in places 5—10d cooler than the weekend. 16 in newcastle, we may see 30 in london. the dry weather for most of us holds an introduced day, high pressure still in charge with the chance of the odd shower in the west. after a cool interlude in the middle part of the week things are going to hot up and stay dry ahead of next weekend.

chemical weapons attack has occurred against civilians in the united kingdom and that is hugely serious. it is now an enquiry as you say and dollars discussions between britain and russia, russian tactics, they have denied any involvement. but pretty unanimously politicians accept that there was russian involvement. and of course there is a huge difference between these victims, because i think there was all that speculation at the time of the hinterland of the skripal family. we know that mr skripal had had association with many people. this is an entirely different matter, and as tony says, suddenly this is in theory and innocent british priced at the going about their business and being not targeted at certainly becoming a victim of side product. so it will be very interesting to see how the government have to respond to this.

at the time we had all of this talk about sanctions, and theresa may was asking european leaders tojoin her. it has faded because of the world cup and sport is one of this thing that trumps everything, and as tony said, we have forgotten it is the same russia at state level, something far more insidious is going on. it is not her state that is blaming russia, it is oui’ state that is blaming russia, it is our allies as well. it is notjust asked that expelled diplomats, it was the united states and lots of european allies, too. thank you for looking at that story. we will keep an eye on developments as they please give us more information through the next hour. we will return to the front pages. we will begin with this. by being rescued to three boys in flooded cave. it is so extraordinary a lay hens, this

operation. it is now suspended, so that the divers can rest. but the conditions they are having to injure, how those boys have been prepared by the divers for the journey out of the cave is remarkable. it has been a thrilling story for people watching. i cannot imagine what it would be like for theirfamilies. to imagine what it would be like for their families. to know imagine what it would be like for theirfamilies. to know that imagine what it would be like for their families. to know that your child is trapped in a cave and the process of getting them out will be difficult and take time. i feel there was global relief today when they began the operation. they got four of these boys out. that was successful. they were able to replenish oxygen supplies and hopefully they will be able to go backin hopefully they will be able to go back in and get the rest of them. there is always concerned with flooding, with monsoons, so it is very delicate, and i would not want to make any predictions, but certainly from looking at social media, ifelt certainly from looking at social media, i felt that everyone was
10:35 pm
rooting for them and there was a sense of relief today that some of the boys had been released. absolutely, and when you look at what they have to get through, that tiny gap in the diet, it will take them ours because it is about 1.5 miles. theresa may seems to have been on the verge of facing leadership challenges many times in her tenure. tony has she has gathered collective responsibility. now we're getting the back channels and the leaks from a certain mrjohnson about what he really thinks, but in theory, and on paper, as those on love island would say, he is collectively responsible. let's see how long it stands and if it can withstand the back channel rumblings. the situation is that some of theresa may's backbenchers, a there are 316 conservative mps, 48
10:36 pm
of them, 15%, it's the same letters and put them into the 1922 committee, the backbench committee of tory mps, that triggers a vote of confidence and theresa may. if they get these numbers, i think there will be a vote of confidence in theresa may and the rebels will be crushed. the vast majority of tory mps are not hard brexiteers, and they are not in the win, we cannot leave group, the vast majority on the prime minister to get the best deal that she can get at brussels, get that through and move on to domestic issues because that is how they will keep jeremy corbyn domestic issues because that is how they will keepjeremy corbyn out of downing street. lots of the tory mps are frustrated that the news agenda, four months, has been dominated by very noisy, very ideological driven mps who do not have the numbers to bring hardbound. ifi mps who do not have the numbers to bring hardbound. if i was theresa may are one of her advisers, i would welcome it. i would say, bring it on. this is when you would see the extent to which you are not

supported by the rest of the conservative party. the deal effectively took two years. two yea rs effectively took two years. two years since the referendum. it has taken since friday for them to bash out something that they think they can get to stake. has it really been that long? timers on. it is very strange. yes, you're right. they have finally got perin theory. i feel it is quite nice that they done something so, in theory, unified, certainly in public, this near to the cliff we are about to jump off. i see that as i remain supporter because if they had done it earlier they would have been more time for dissent, more grumblings, more machinations and leadership challenges and talks, and perhaps we do need, as everyjournalist in the i’ooiti do need, as everyjournalist in the room would agree, nothing focuses the mind like a deadline. the daily telegraph has more of that dissent.
10:38 pm
i will vote down the brexit plan. jacob rees—mogg is not giving up. he knows he has support in the country for a hard brexit. knows he has support in the country fora hard brexit. if knows he has support in the country for a hard brexit. if people do not get that they will not feel they have got a
