9:41 pm
to cope with the numbers of addicts and dealers. major, this is one of the rooms? how many people in this room? and this is a combination of drug dealers and drug users? yeah. you just keep them all here together in one room? yeah. i am taken deep into the prison to see what the conditions are like for those who have been convicted. quite overwhelming. i mean, i've been to many prisons in many parts of the world
9:42 pm
but to see these people just crammed into here, they take shifts sleeping so one person will sleep and one person will stay up all night and then they swap. it is incredible. i mean, the conditions are really bad. do they go out at all? what kind of drugs did you have? crystal. how did you start using crystal meth? what about your family?
9:43 pm
what were they seeing? your wife didn't know? ali hammoud has already served ten months of a five—year sentence for dealing. how did you become a dealer? and did your family

9:46 pm
and the swat team are honing in on their final target in jumhouria. meth addiction is fuelling crime in the city. and it is young men mostly who are the perpetrators. 15 years after the fall of saddam hussein, iraq is in a fragile and perilous state. with all the attention on the fight against isis in the north, basra and the predominantly shia south feels forgotten. and it is the young

with it some showers. through this week, that unsettled theme continues, so often pretty breezy and showery, particularly in the northwest, with the driest weather often to be found in the south—east. but, first thing monday, we've got low pressure to the east, and that will bring some sharp showers to eastern parts of england and up across parts of scotland, some rain lingering here to, where it's going to be fairly cloudy. it will be an improved day for parts of northern ireland, wales and south—west england, with a ridge of higher pressure developing here, and some of these showers through central and eastern parts of england could be heavy and thundery, bringing a mix of hail and heavy rain in quite a short space of time. so the chance of some localised flooding here. temperatures around 17 to 20 in the northwest. we could see up to around 23 celsius in the south—east. through monday night and into tuesday, this area of high pressure from the azores tries to push into southern and south—western parts of the country, but it's also met with low pressure moving in from the northwest, so that's going to bring weather

fronts, outbreaks of rain to parts of northern ireland and the west of scotland through the day on tuesday. eastern scotland and down across england and wales, likely to stay dry for a good part of the day, if not all day in the south. temperatures a little bit warmer by the time we get to tuesday. we could see 26 celsius down towards the london region. just a bit fresher for scotland and northern ireland. into the middle of the week, and wednesday sees heavy rain pushing in across parts of northern ireland, scotland, northwest england as well. further south and east across england and wales, you've still got the warm and dry weather, but quite a brisk south—westerly wind. temperatures up to 25 or 26. to the northwest of that front, just 16 degrees there in stornoway. a bit of a change through wednesday night and into thursday, as this cold front gets driven further south and east across the uk. it's driven on by this kink in the jet stream. so that will bring a spell of heavy rain and then it will open the door for that cooler and fresher weather moving in from the northwest, so thursday initially some outbreaks of rain across the south—east of england and east anglia, and then fresher conditions moving from the atlantic,

with a mix of sunshine and some heavy and possibly thundery showers for scotland and northern ireland. a bit fresher by thursday, so 17 to 21 degrees as we look towards the end of the week. during friday, low pressure still to the northwest, so more of that rain and breezy conditions for parts of scotland and northern ireland. much of england and wales, particularly down towards the south—east, you're more likely to stay dry. temperatures perhaps up to around 23 in the warmer spots, but the high teens across scotland and northern ireland. looking into next weekend, the jet stream moves a bit further north across the uk. that will allow higher pressure to start to moving across more of the country for a time, but then another kink in the jet stream developing in the north atlantic, which could well bring more low pressure to the northwest as we head into next week. this is monday and tuesday of the following week. still rather cool and breezy across scotland and northern ireland. warmer and drier with a bit of sunshine across parts of england and wales.
