and "my dad is my idol." we hear from the mick, son of legendary formula 1 driver michael schumacher, as he charts his own journey in the sport. hello and thanks for joining us on sport today. day five of the asian games in indonesia and there was a second gold medal for singaporean superstar swimmerjoseph schooling. 2a hours after retaining his 100 metres butterfly title, the event in which he won olympic gold in rio, schooling added the 50 metres butterfly title to his collection. he clocked 23.61 seconds. the was his second gold medal of the games and there could be a third on friday in the relay. it has been good. the crowd has been awesome. it has been a good experience, racing injakarta on the first time ever, so overall i am very happy with our performance. like i said, we've still got a big one tomorrow. apart from schooling's success, it was the chinese and japanese who once again dominated proceedings

in the aquatics centre. satomi suzuki ofjapan won the women's 50 metres breaststroke title in a new games record of 30.83 seconds in the process. there was gold, too, forjapan in the blue riband event of the games, the men's 100 metres freestyle won by shinri shioura, and china's wang jianjiahe demolished the field to win the women's 800 metres freestyle in a new games record of eight minutes 18.55 seconds. earlier in the day, there a first gold medal of the games for hong kong. jacqueline siu wing—ying, competing in herfourth asian games, won the individual intermediate freestyle event on her horse "jockey club fuerst on tour". in the men's football competition, south korea are through to the quarter—finals after beating iran 2—0. hwan ui—jo scored just before half—time, with lee seung—woo adding the second just after the re—start. south korea will now face uzbekistan, who beat hong kong 3—0.

there was always a feeling that i wanted to do that, racing, kind of thing. speeding and being quick and racing and fighting against each other. at the end, i try to be the best. mick's first f3 win came at spa, the very same circuit that his father michael got his maiden grand prix victory back in 1992. the first win ever for michael schumacher. .. in a career that spanned two decades, schumacher remains the only racer to have ever w011 five consecutive titles. he had retired from motorsport when he sustained a life—threatening injury while skiing in france. but in mick, the family's talent and passion for motor racing continues. i want to ask about the role that your dad has had on your career. he had a huge influence. as everybody knows, i guess he's my idol.

he is the person i looked up to and i am really following everything he did and trying to look at something that i could use myself. and so he had a huge role in how i am driving now. really happy about that. in his early career, mick raced under his mother's maiden name to avoid the spotlight. but now the steely determination associated with the schumacher family shines through. your name is now synonymous with motorsport, isn't it? yes, it is. but i don't know if... for sure, a lot of doors open easier and i want to prove that i am a racing driver and not only someone who has the name. i don't have any rush so for me if i am ready as a racing driver, a complete racing driver, i think that is the right moment for me to go into f1 and then that is when i am able to show what i have got. at the belgian grand prix last season, mick drove his father's car around the track, a tribute to past

it's going to feel a lot cooler and fresher right across the board with sunshine and showers. in fact, it's going to feel pretty autumnal for some areas, particularly across the north and west. plenty of heavy showers around. this pretty cold air mass moving down from the north—west will be right across the country as we start friday morning. it really will be quite noticeable. feeding in plenty of showers into the north and the west of the country, but further south and east, with lengthy clear skies, it should stay generally dry here to start friday. much coolerfor all, including the south—east. temperatures here starting off between nine and 12 degrees. so for friday itself, not looking too bad. we're start off with sunshine in southern and eastern areas, albeit rather chilly. lots of showers from the word go in the north and west, and these will become more widespread into the afternoon, especially in central and southern parts of the country, some will be heavy with hail and thunder mixed in as well. the wind arrows show a blustery day, any showers will be quite blustery when they arrive and because of

the strength of the wind coming down from the north—west, it's going to feel pretty chilly, with temperatures ranging from 1a to 18 or 19 in the south—east. one or two spots could just make 20 degrees. for friday evening, those showers begin to ease down. a few still going across northern and western areas, but lengthy clear skies across northern, central and eastern areas mean it's going to be a really chilly one for all, especially scotland and north—east england and in sheltered spots, we could see temperatures down to near freezing. now, as we head on into saturday, it looks like this ridge of high pressure will nudge in from the west and what that will do is it will push the area of low pressure away and ease the shower development down. looking like saturday should be a drier day for most of us. there will be more in the way of sunshine and showers. still a few going in northern and western areas and a few good travel through the cheshire gap into the midlands, but temperature—wise, similar to friday's, 1a to maybe 20 degrees, but with more sunshine around, it could feel a little bit more pleasant. on sunday, big changes again, the next area of low pressure moves in from the atlantic, it looks like it's going
