as usual, there were lots of photos of the women wearing white or saying some sentences about compulsory hijab, but among them there was a picture of a girl toa very crowded street who got up on a utility box and waved her white scarf on a stick like a white flag. she was on the box for almost half an hour, and after that when she came down they arrested her. she was in prison for one month. for me it was the symbol of a civil disobedience, in a very beautiful way. i asked other women from now on,

let's start having our white headscarf on a stick so that the girl from enghelab street started a movement. i was just moving that white flag for almost 5—6 minutes, and then the police car came and arrested me. i was interrogated for almost two or three hours. they knew who i was because of my instagram page. they tried to force me to tell that i was a spy. i was furious, i was scared. then they called for

some lady officers. suddenly i was lying on the ground, and she was beating my face, and she was grabbing my hair with one hand, and there were lots of bruises on my face. i was in prison for seven days, and i was on a hunger strike for five days. after two or three weeks, i went to that office to get and they arrested my husband. he was waiting for me in the street. we were in an interrogation room for almost three orfour hours. it was actually the first time i saw fear in my husband's face. but, the prosecutors decided to let us free, because they did not have anything. in may, i went to the city with my nine—year—old

son, and one of my friends, and one day we went to a park. also, we were wearing beautiful head garlands, and we were very happy. the next day, five police officers came to arrest us. i just asked my friend to take care of my son. the guard pointed the toilet, and i went there, and she said yes you are going to spend the first night there. it was like a little rock beside the toilet but i don't know, i could not see it. i was in caution for nine days, and i was on a hunger strike for nine days. after the second arrest, the third one, and beating, being in prison in caution,

i was, i realised there was no law, and they cannot do anything with you. then, i was so scared of my life, my son's life. i was given a number of a man who could help me get out of the country. when i called him, he told me you had, it's the perfect time if you want to go out, and you have two hours to leave, and i was, at first i was shocked and said i'm going to do it. leaving my husband behind is, was excruciating. i only had two hours to leave the house, so i'vejust taken a few items. a toothbrush, a simple phone, and sunscreen, and my sunglasses.

just that. i had proper hijab, because i didn't want to attract any attention. i took a look at my house, my life, i was living in that house, i don't know, for 12 years. i had my baby there. i just took a few items with me, and that was it. that was the only things i could take with me. and i left the house. the journey took eight or nine hours to the border. when it was around midnight, the guy took me to the mountain, i was shaking, and when i was climbing the mountain it was just the sound of my heartbeat. the guy told me, what's going on with your heart, i can hear your

this cold weather from the east would have lasted about a week before the weather changes, and it will change because there's a strengthening jet stream that's propagated across the atlantic. that will bring in some milder air eventually, and turn it much more unsettled. the next question is will that unsettled weather continue into the beginning of december? well, we will find out in just a moment. but for the moment, we've got the cold, easterlies bringing in a lot of cloud, we've also got a few more showers across more southern parts of england. could be heavy and thundery once again. the old shower further north as well, the best of the sunshine because we've got an easterly breeze is always going to be across more sheltered areas, particularly in the northwest england, eventually west wales. quite a misty start in the morning, and another chilly day. 7—9d as we have seen over the last day or so. during the evening and overnight, again you can see there

a fair bit of cloud, so the frost is going to be very limited. we've also got a few more showers affecting southern parts of england, maybe something a bit wetter beginning to arrive from the continent in the southeast, that's has been a change in the forecast. temperatures typically around about two to 5 degrees once again early sunday morning. let's take a look at the picture on sunday and you can see it is looking a bit wetter in the southeast of england, a bit drier in the southwest, may get some sunshine. again it's going to be western areas that see the best of any sunshine, further east there is more cloud coming in off the north sea and bringing in one or two showers. this time on sunday it looks a little bit chillier than saturday, it will feel a bit colder. still have high pressure sitting to the north of the uk. it is beginning to extend its way across our shores, but essentially we've got the same weather pattern for the start of the week, so that chilly, easterly breeze, maybe more of a breeze on monday, so again cloudy skies for many parts of the country, there'll be a few showers around, the showers in the south migrating to wales and the southwest and pushing away. those are the temperatures, so we are struggling at six, seven,

maybe even a degrees for the start of the week, and as soon as you see the winds dropping and cloud breaking, could turn quite chilly on monday night into tuesday. as we move into tuesday, this is moving day, this is transition day because the high pressure is getting pushed away, we've got weather fronts trying to come in from the atlantic. for many eastern parts of the uk we're still in that cold air, a fair bit of cloud around, could be some frost around in the morning. we start to see some weather fronts coming into northern ireland into wales in the southwest, that means outbreaks of rain. the winds for the most part should be quite light, and again temperatures at six and seven. but then as we move into wednesday, those weather fronts, the milder south—westerly winds are sweeping across the whole of the country, bringing with it some outbreaks of rain, the wettest weather moving fairly quickly across the northern half of the uk. we may get some sunshine in the east. we changed the wind direction this time, temperatures will be higher, widely into double figures. as we head towards later part of the week, we continue to see the succession of areas of low pressure coming in from the atlantic

and it looks like they will drive their way to the northwest of the uk, pushing in these bands of rain followed by some showers. the showers, and on the slightly cooler air that we call returning polar maritime, rain comes in on the milder air, which is going to tend to dominate, and that is what we call tropical maritime. and generally speaking, as we head toward the end of the week into the beginning of december it stays very unsettled. there will be some showers or longer spells of rain, and it could be quite windy as well. strong to gale force winds often blowing mild air across our shores. that is it for me. goodbye. the prime minister takes to the airwaves to sell her brexit plan to the nation. she says the uk won't get a better dealfrom the eu if hers is rejected. i believe that if we were to go back to the european union and say, "well, people didn't like that deal, can we have another one?" we won't get — i don't think they're going to come to us and say, "we'll give you a better deal." but theresa may won't be drawn
