war. this and the standpoint of the west, seemed like an era of endless possibility, where democracy and freedom had tried over authoritarianism and bush certainly celebrated that commie talked about a new world order that would be built on the basis of human freedom, free markets, free elections, etc, around the world. and he did see the vast expansion of democracy around the world under his watch. so his era was one of i think found optimism for the democratic world generally, for western policies, and ithink... generally, for western policies, and i think... we will of course continue to get reaction internationally as the news spreads, but you mentioned that he was at the helm as communism dissolved, as the ussr dissolved. how do you think russia will view him? that's an interesting question.
