a wheelchair for 20 years — but when she gets into a windtunnel — she is an extremely graceful skydiver. mike bushell went along to find out a thing or two. ready for take—off. 8a—year—old glen mills has spent over two decades in a wheelchair because of multiple sclerosis, and other health problems. all that changes when she puts on her sky diving suit and throws caution to the wind. before i was fairly sedentary in my chair and there were so few things that i could do and the moment i sat in there and felt the wind on my face, it was such a great feeling of freedom. it changed my life completely. glenn has now completed over six hours of flying time in the wind tunnel and says it has helped her to such an extent physically,

and mentally, you can see how independent she has become in here that she says as a result she has movement back in her knees and legs once again. better than any medication because you did such a high, it is almost like euphoria for me. when i get and there. i am reliant on nobody, i can get movement and my need, i can turn both knees and get in and out of the chair. she then watched me struggling to match her graceful movement as i battled to keep my position and glide in the driving u pwa rd position and glide in the driving upward wind. it is thought having to control your body shape in such conditions is what has helped her and wiped the ms society hope others follow her example. i think she is an inspiration. she is amazing. back in the doctors would advise people not to exercise because they thought they been multiple sclerosis worse but now we know the opposite is

true. does not have to be skydiving it to be something as gentle as gardening. every case is different but she has taken inspiration from the british athletes training around her. he lost his legs and an explosion while serving in the army and has gone on to compete in world championships and is the first para athlete to get and is the first para athlete to get a silver medal and an able—bodied world event. from being in the restricted environment on the ground to suddenly being without any restrictions, it is an amazing feeling for me. it is like breaking out of prison almost and is being in this completely free environment. the skies are opening up in an extreme way for glenn thinks to virtual reality goggles and a chance to do ina virtual reality goggles and a chance to do in a team for when suit fly.
