7:33 pm
we knew they were on top they make the best possible start. dominant throughout the entire match. three penalties in the first half, and three father penalties and the second estate blue ireland away. wells dominated, all in discipline. so get trappist championship, island, but certainly not today. what out moment as well for head coach, three grand slam titles for him. that is something that no adult wells are at the head coach in the history at this time it has been able to achieve. as for him, the captain, he becomes a few upset members the welsh team that has
7:34 pm
three grand slam titles. huge disappointment for island. celebration for wales. let's get a reaction from both sides. it is hard to put into bite. we had been working really hard over the last year. we have had the habit of winning. tricky conditions, and i cannot say enough about this group. we had liked pretty hard for each at that. yes, i am part of the players. it is not about me, it is about the players. before hand, it is not about me, it is about the players. beforehand, we said about them playing for themselves, this crowd, and wales as a whole but that they have created history. we cannot ta ke they have created history. we cannot take that away from them now. i thought it was a fantastic performance by s and b did not look too tired. we will have to go away and address why be lost, it had to get better, we always strive to get
7:35 pm
better. we had been inconsistent best championship. yes, we will have to dust ourselves off and finish the calendar yet strong. wales will let the adult world cup. his team will be real contenders now, it will face ireland againa be real contenders now, it will face ireland again a match as i had of the world cup to come, this summer. ireland will felt like they had plenty of stomach to work on. england, they had managed to land for six nations lead up to the world cup. that can be no doubt about it, a performance of the wales in the six nations championship. they are generally contenders against in the world cup. following that result, england knew that all they had to play for was the calcutta cup at twickenham. it turned out to be the match of the tournament. they raced into a 31—nil lead against scotland, but rather than stretch their lead they fell apart in the second half, scotland were seconds from victory
7:36 pm
before a late try saw the match finish in a draw. 38—all. patrick gearey was trying to keep up with this one. rugby oldest fixture is never meaningless, not when that calcutta cup is overshadowed. what began to potty. it took more than a minute to crash through scotland, no site stomach sign of sulking here. right in the middle of the scottish packet, here, over a in the middle of the scottish packet, here, overa month by in the middle of the scottish packet, here, over a month by a particularly strong tom carey. 21 — zero. henry slade speed of fights, and johnny got his sixth child of the atonement. moment came close. 31- the atonement. moment came close. 31— nail down, a lonely brand. squeezing through, with all he had
7:37 pm
was a the equally specs. they had a one half, a one half, attornment of the regret. that's regret. a new energy, taxability to match. —— flexibility to match. graham has a knack. his second, scotland's first. what on earth is cannot rely on simple passes, scotland team, a loud click passage to the line. it was converted. it was 31 all. unable to adjust in the face of the storm in the north. no one can stop sam johnson once he got excited at the line. scotland ahead. minutes i had the first went to admit 35 years. the ball let out, it was game over. england looking for one last gap. finally, there it was. it would end
7:38 pm
up finally, there it was. it would end upa draw. finally, there it was. it would end up a draw. somehow, scotland retained the calcutta cup. saving its best buy last but not —— saving its best buy last but not —— saving it best for last. lets get more from twickenham and our sports correspondent, katie gornall is there. no one believes what happened here. it would have been that first when he hit since 1983, but converted by with that 38 points. probably one of the most topsy—turvy matches that i had ever seen. three tries in 12 minutes. henry slade to set up johnny mae. he did not see a way back for scotland, but they burst out in the second half. they had six
7:39 pm
tribes in total. really, a remarkable comeback for scotland, even though they did not get what they wanted. jones, it was not the market they would have sat down for the last competitive match, before the last competitive match, before the world cup injapan, but really, you have to take in a remarkable match here. italy have finished with the wooden spoon for a fourth year. defeat to france in rome was their 22nd 6 nations defeat in a row. tries either side of half time had put the french in control, but italy had chances to get back in the game. this tackle from damian penaud prevented an italian try five minutes from time. penaud then scored himself to ensure the france ended their six nations on a high. 25 points to 1a, the final score

at the stadio olimpico. england's women are taking on and it will be featured on the bbc sports website. it's fa cup quarter final weekend and swansea came very close to one heck of an upset, didn't they, olly? they let 2—0, with 20 minutes to play. the victory, two goals for him, should his winner had stayed. that is every reason to embrace by the storm. swansea struggling in the second tier are all set up to be
7:41 pm
blown away. not so. 20 minutes and an venturing dude that defence. a penalty no no one expected. he sent back became a much bigger problem. this was swansea creating the floating football. brilliant! 2- nil! swansea city expect a fantastical! fs half that was barely believable. the problem that was what city had in the back of their reserves. they got back with more than 20 minutes left, but striking at the time to spare. rahim starling has caused problems with everyone deceiving. but swansea's defence
7:42 pm
might have had complaints. spot cake was fortunate, of the post and i think you better. 2—2. this time, aguero did not need any help. what a superb goal! but an absolutely brilliant goal! it came from an off—site position. aided by the absence of the didio referee. not all expedients in the cup are equipped with it. that's not all stadiums in the cup are equipped with it. swansea will be very well done there. watford are also into the semi—final and one win away from their first fa cup final since 1984. substitute andre gray got their winner in a 2—1win over crystal palace at vicarage road. michael redford reports.
7:43 pm
neither wofford the team had one the cup into history. neither team had conceded a goal in their run to the final eight. that record came to an end for palace when this happened. not a moment before coming to remember. a striker who scored four goals in three games against watford, he very nearly became 5—4. what effect did not hate the warning fell. fa cup runner—up, and someone made him pay. beating wofford to— one in the final four. accept it was wofford who was celebrating this strength. ij great but the wind, two minutes after coming in as a substitute. cheers, tears, watford
7:44 pm
area substitute. cheers, tears, watford are a step closer to winning the real bank. —— real bank. wolves face manchester united in the next 15 minutes or so, kick off at 5 to 8 paul ince is at molineux with bbc sport, this game is on bbc1, he's won the trophy twice with united and played over 100 times for wolves, asked him how he thinks this tie will pan out. i think it is hard to say. when you look the resurgence of manchester united, they are praying about. but they did in that cup competition is what they did at psg. the wells had beating liverpool, they had done ever so beating liverpool, they had done ever so well against the top six in the premier league, they are not going to be fazed by discipline a little bit. they are not going to be faced at all. i am looking for it's a really exciting games to but is going to take to finally get the
7:45 pm
long—term deal? going to take to finally get the long-term deal? i've had my say and how i saw it at the start of his campaign. i always felt that it was not that kind of hide of the task in the early stages. i think he is coming in and taking it to him at no one can expect the level that he has taken it to. my hat the high—back he had not just taken it to. my hat the high—back he had notjust given it to him because bank that they wake up at the end of the season because bank are they looking at other candidates could make it as a strength which one. scene wofford make their way through to the semi finals, we've got brighton, millwall, as we speak, swa nsea brighton, millwall, as we speak, swansea going very well against manchester city, is it that that perhaps the lesser lights are still in the competition at the state? yes, i always kind of felt that these types of teams that we are
7:46 pm
talking about, i think it is good to get them a chance because the price is mostly the permit leak by the champions league, then these bigger clu bs champions league, then these bigger clubs do not play their best selves at the site. lesson teams always get at the site. lesson teams always get a chance to get through at this time. that but the kiss of death for me. swansea going really well. the last of the finals i'm late tomorrow against brighton. there are just 5 premier league matches this weekend because of the cup, all three games today saw late drama and what a match we had at the london stadium. west ham were heading for defeat against bottom side huddersfield but two goals from chicarito saw them win 11—3 . huddersfield had led 3—1, the first time they had scored 3 this season but they are 16 points off safety now,

7:48 pm
today's matches were mostly significant for the bottom of the table. huddersfield look doomed and could be just a couple fo games away from relegation now. 16 points adrift. how does their heart is still on doomed as well. kind of what they think glimmer of help. arguably the biggest match of the day was in the championship... sheffield united securing a huge win at elland road. chris basham scored a crucial goal, which sees the blades climb above their promotion rivals leeds and into second. the home side pressed for an equaliser but couldn't salvage a point in a game where keeper kiko casilla was shown a straight red card in the closing minutes.
