was based. after that i went to the netherlands and i was following the path that some of his airmen who had been shot down, and it took me to arnhem, and when i was there, i learned about audrey hepburn thought it was very interesting. i look for information and i was surprised there is very little, even in her biography, and i thought if this isn‘t an idea for a book i don‘t know what is. how confident are you that she really was a figure in the dutch resistance? after all, though she grew up in part in the netherlands, she was only 16, i think, when the war ended. she was actually 14 and 15 when she helped the resistance, and i‘m very confident she did. i am covered while i was there in the village she lived in through most of the war that she worked as a volunteer for a doctor he was a resistance leader there. he was the missing piece. he told a lot of stories, about working

rest of her life. thank you so much for sharing it with us. thank you. did you know that when you talk to smart speaker devices, like alexa or siri, someone could be listening in to what you say? it‘s been revealed that amazon, google and apple all employ staff to listen to recordings of customer interactions with their smart speakers. news website bloomberg highlighted the issue after after speaking to amazon staff who listened to alexa recordings. the companies say voice recordings are occasionally reviewed to improve speech recognition. let‘s talk to our technology correspondent chris fox. this will have come as a bit of a surprise to people who have got these devices. yes, first of all, it‘s not a secret at all that all of these devices record the interactions you have with them. they are not recording all your conversations, they‘re not listening in all the time, but when you say the weight word, whether it‘s ok google or alexa, your interactions are recorded. if you have one of these devices, you can go back through the app and listen to what you have set it. that‘s not a secret

but what is a surprise is that reviewers are sometimes listening to those recordings to make sure the voice algorithms have picked up what you set correctly and are interpreting it correctly. for example, if you say something like taylor swift, that needs to be tagged by the system so that they know that taylor swift is a music artist they‘re talking about. so for things like that they are listening into the recordings. but people are surprised because in the terms and conditions it does say, we use your voice data to improve our services, as you may have read. people are not... its not explicit that it is human moderators listening in. i think that has caught a few people unaware. yes in far too much, chris, i don‘t have one of these and now i‘m never likely to after this! how can you opt out? you can't really t can you opt out? you can't really opt out of the recordings, that is essential to how the devices work. what you can do is if you have an alexa device or a google home, you can go to their privacy website and delete previous recordings. you can also listen to them back, which is
