we could see quite a widespread, light frost first thing on saturday morning. that will be a bit of a shock to the system. a beautiful start with sunshine but there is winds driving showers of the east coast, some of them pushing on line. to the west, we will see the best of the shelter and the best of the world. it will still not be very warm for the time of year with highs of 13, called on the east coast. high pressure starts to build from the west in the second half of the weekend. that will kill off some of the showers. sunday and monday we will have lighter winds, a good deal of dry weather around, but still those temperatures are going to be disappointing for the first week of may.
