satirical hammer. there is film called society which starts off like a www called society which starts off like a preppy satire then turns into this really grungy, strange, mind—bending most alien thing. in the case of this, it has a good set up. she goes to the family, they are weird and play this game which turns out to be deadly. so there is a bit of the purge about it. but totally, it is a bit like the evil dead, which was film a comedy film. it is like a three stooges movie which happens to have blood and guts instead of custard pies. in the case of this, what i liked about it what it cracks along at a pace quite often comedy horror has a good setup and will flag in the second or third act. by that you get to the end,... this actually accelerates in places and in the final act, the son that i was m, in the final act, the son that i was in, i heard as much laughing and as much grimacing as i have heard in any decent comedy. i thought it was well done and good fun, it doesn't outstay its welcome, there is not an inch of fat on it, if you like

of it." this is the worst thing about it, and no one has said this about it, and no one has said this about the book. it is actually quite boring as a film, which considering the amount of intrigue and interweaving paintings here, the paintings there, this person double—crossing, the grief and love and all that stuff, some great performance like ansel elgort and written by the guy who gave us buckling, it has a great pedigree, you watch it, nicole kidman, you and you watch it, nicole kidman, you and you ask why none of this is working. 0ne you ask why none of this is working. one of two answers, either that it is genuinely a non—film book, but more likely it is not a very good film. i think the honest truth of it it is just not a very good film. film. i think the honest truth of it it isjust not a very good film. but when you said you couldn't wait for it to finish, i think we got the hint. that is always a giveaway. right, then we have skin which is jamie bell, who we last saw in a rocket man. the unbelievably

versatile jamie bell. he is away is different in every film. this is based on the real—life story of a tattooed white supremacist who is the subject of a documentary in 2011 called raising hate, that refers to the tattoos which he has on his face and body. jamie bell is a central character, he has been brought up as pa rt character, he has been brought up as part of a neo—nazi family led by this very creepy mother and father. but when he decides that he wants to go his own way, he wants to break out, he wants to form his own family, they firstly accuse him of betrayal and secondly follow him. you are still breathing because i owfi you are still breathing because i own you. the only way anyone else gets access to your trophies is if i ask them myself.

so who was it? jenkins? splc? did you give them son? the interesting thing about it is that you see the film from the perspective of that central character who is a white supreme central character who is a white supreme assist with all of these tattooed on his face. it reminded me to some extent, there is a film called romper stomp at, an antibody and movie from the 90s which starred russell crowe which saw the film from the perspective of a racist skinhead. the central message of the film is that nobody is beyond redemption. it is about the idea that people full into that kind of hatred because something within them is broken. so at the very beginning of the film, you see him involving

hideous activities. then the film itself still retains a sort of sympathetic edge towards the idea that actually, there is a reason why he has fallen into this stuff. jamie bell is brilliant and very few performers, i think, bell is brilliant and very few performers, ithink, could have carried off the park. it is a risky role to play and i think it does it well. the film is also made with a great deal of sincerity and a great deal of conviction. and it is tough viewing sometimes. there is a very interesting musical score and soundtrack. what i liked about it what it is not a film that sees things as a simple, yes, no terms. it is absolutely about the idea that you have to look beyond the skin to see the causes of this kind of thing. actually, ithink see the causes of this kind of thing. actually, i think the drama played out rather well. it is well done, it is not scared to be confrontational, and it doesn't shy away from showing just how vicious the stuff that he has been involved in is. can you empathise with him at the end? by the end of the film, what you understand as a central message of the film that people fall into these kind of extreme is to use because of something that is broken

in them. and it is about understanding that, that this doesn't happen, that they are preyed upon by people preying upon the weak and the broken and people who have problems that actually can be dealt with. i really like the farewell. i love the farewell. the story is that the grandmother is terminally ill but no body will tell the grandmother. so there is a family gathering in which everybody knows the grandmother is terminally ill except the grandmother. and it is beautifully sort of bittersweet, it is very tender, it is very funny despite the fact that it is often very sad. it has a great musical score by alex weston. terrific performances. i went in really not knowing much about it at all. and you know there is a particularjoy when you see a film that completely catches you off—guard, you only see the title and a couple of things. i hadn't seen the posters which has... the best way to see a movie. it

everybody talks about jack nicholson, shelley duvall is the star. if you look at the onset making of footage, that performance was really tough for her. she had a very tough time on set. she is billion. jack nicholson, yes, but surely duvall is the hero of that film. it is a classic sure enough, but i am not sure if i want to see it again. go see ready or not, it has more laughs. i will, i fancy that. thank you so much for watching. speaking of things you may not want to see, this weather forecast might full into that category. because things are looking very turbulent for many of us as we head through

this weekend. he is one lump of cloud on the satellite picture out in the atlantic, this will bring very wet and windy weather for the second half of the weekend. already, we have this well of cloud to contend with, an area of low pressure which has been driving showers eastwards across the british isles. some of these showers, particularly along this line here, they have been heavy and thundery. accompanied by some really squally gust of winds. we have reports of gusts up to 60 mph in east anglia. generally, strong winds continue across southern generally, strong winds continue across southern areas generally, strong winds continue across southern areas into the evening. that first clutch of showers will clear away, but we see more pushing in from the west as we go through the night. northern ireland, southern england scotland wales. some showers also feeling back to north scotland. it may be that the west of scotland avoid the showers and stays dry, that is where we will see the coldest of the weather overnight. as we head into saturday, here is ourfirst weather overnight. as we head into saturday, here is our first area of low pressure, today's low if you like. here is an excellent, hot on its heels. in between a quiet zone of weather, some clearer weather. the showers we will have tomorrow morning will tend to fade in many areas and we will see more in the
