it's been 12 years since the nfl started hosting regular season games in london to boost the popularity of the sport globally. now it's opened its first academy in britain. students can combine their education with intensive training in american football, under full—time, professional coaches. miriam walker—khan went down to the opening: three—time super bowl winnerjerry rice — not exactly you might expect to bump into in north london. as an ambassador for the new nfl academy, he is settling in just fine. it keeps me locked into football, feeling that energy and being able to pass that knowledge on. this is something that you are not used to, but with the right coach, maybe they can put them in a position where they can be successful. so is important to get these kids on board.
