were injured in the stabbings — one of whom is critically ill. the incident happened on streatham high road, where gun shots were heard around 2pm. police say the scene is now "fully contained". we've had a statement from lucy dorsey that was released within the last half hour, as well as confirmation that the device that was strapped to the suspect was a hoax device. prime minister boris johnson has said his thoughts are with the injured and those affected. he's thanked the emergency services for their response. there's been more reaction from senior political figures.
