it will be messy. even where you see the weather clearing away, snow falling into the higher ground, it may drift the strong wind. the higher areas are going to be worst affected and certainly in scotland as the snow feeds ever further north. rewind the clock, see what else happens, to start the day, a band of rain pushing through england and wales. clearing to brighter skies. a few showers following on behind. gusty wind. it will be a blustery day. a range of temperatures from north to south. it will be colder where you have some of the snow falling. even into the evening rush—hour in scotland. monday night, eventually, snow clearing from scotland. it will be icy in places to start tuesday but tuesday and wednesday, cold air coming from the north—west. some sunshine, yes, but also showers, rain, sleet, snow, some hale and rumbles of thunder. but there will also be some dryer moments.

our sports editor dan roan reports from vegas. never one for understatement, tyson fury was carried to the ring on a throne. would tonight give his career its crowning moment? clad in armour and his trademark mask, however, deontay wilder was a menacing presence. but in a defining performance, it was the british fighter who seized the initiative, fury knocking down his american opponent in the third round and then again in the fifth. vaunted for his punching power, the bewildered and battered wilder had no response. his corner eventually throwing in the towel in the seventh round of this one—sided rematch, the first defeat he had tasted. in the biggest heavyweight fight for a generation, fury had delivered one of british sport's most memorable performances. still unbeaten, the prestigious wbc title his. you know, it feels amazing, it feels amazing, thank you very much. you've become a true british sporting great. how does it feel? i feel good, you know? tonight, i probably got lucky. not bad for an old feather duster.

the gypsy king's back, and back to stay. wilder was absent from the post—fight press conference after being taken to hospital as a precaution, and must now decide whether to trigger a clause in the contract for a third fight. he's got 30 days and we'll see what happens after that. i can't say what he's going to do. i know what i would advise him to do. you'd advise him not to take it? i wouldn't take it because it will be the same outcome. if he doesn't take it, what would that mean for tyson? what would you like him to do if it wasn't deontay? i would like to see him fightjoshua. for me, it's the best performance i've ever seen from a british boxer. british fans who had travelled here to see the most anticipated heavyweight rematch in 20 years left knowing that they'd seen a piece of boxing history. we thought he would box for 12 rounds but the fact he got the stoppage was unbelievable. he made everyone in great britain very proud. fury‘s remarkable comeback from his documented issues with drink and drugs and depression is now complete. and after one of the great

both arrows know they are chasing the french to be champions but they are nowhere near the last yet. six nations is different rugby. people want to see this high—flying, high floating, passing game but it is just not like that. the conditions don't make it like that and the intensity of the rivalry make it a tight game and i thought we handled that tight game brilliantly. in the the women's six nations today... england's women beat ireland 27—nil in doncaster. they scored 5 tries and are still on for the grand slam. earlier in the day france absolutely thumped wales by 50 points to nil in cardiff. scotland's game away against italy was postponed because of the coronavirus outbreak there. premiership leaders

exeter chiefs thrashed northampton saints by 57 points to 7, sam simmonds with the final of their eight tries. exeter are now eight points clear at the top of the league. elsewhere bristol beat worcester. and race walker tom bosworth broke his own british record in the 5000m walk at the national indoor championships in glasgow. he did it injust under 18 minutes and 21 seconds — that's eight seconds faster than his previous best. loads of goals in the premier league today — you can watch them all on match of the day two on bbc one at 10:30 tonight. we're going to take you to the emirates, where pierre emerick aubameyang was the difference in a five goal thriller against everton. arsenal were going in with three consecutive clean sheets but everton were looking for their first win at arsenal since 1996 and weren't going to let them continue that fall.

for the first time since his horror crash in june lsat year. the four time tour de france winner completed stage one of the uae tour in dubai. england's women have begun their t20 world cup campaign with a narrow defeat to south africa, who chased down 124 with two balls remaining to claim a six—wicket win in perth. jo currie was there. when a world cup rolls into town, expats old and young can't resist the chance to show their colours. england have had a long build—up to this world cup. they arrived in australia over a month ago and have had to wait till day three to get this tournament started. under the lights here in perth. one of the favourites to become world champions, they lost the toss. they were made to bat.

over the next few decades, the stress on that most essential of resources, water, is likely to become one of the biggest issues that many people around the world will face. already, 2 billion don't have access to clean drinking water. and for half of them, it would take at least 30 minutes to reach any. so nick kwek has been finding out how that safe water could be created out of thin air, literally.
