do about it. we reserve they would be useful to have in this situation, and it is a shame for the tournament as but it has been a great tournament and if the semifinals i lost it would be a real sad time for the tournament. we would be granted if that did happen. but i guess it is our own farfrom if that did happen. but i guess it is our own far from losing that game against south africa. we've only have ourselves to blame. —— if we had that reserve date. well, if play does go ahead on thursday, india may well be looking to 16—year—old opener shafali verma once again. she's really taken the tournament by storm as india won four out of four in the group stage. verma scored 161 runs — at an average of more than 40, and very quickly, in fact at an astonishing strike—rate of 161. on top of that, she's a bit of a character. ican i can say she is very naughty, she get so much happiness and positivity

of the sport today team, goodbye. hello. 0verall, thursday i think will not be too bad of a day across the majority of the uk. there should be decent sunshine and a few showers here or there. a chilly start though with patchy frost and fog. one major exception is the far south of the uk. we have an area of low pressure ploughing into the continent bringing very heavy rain and that willjust glance southern counties of england through the first half of the day. looking pretty wet as that low works its way to the south. certainly i think from the latter part of the rush hour into the lunch time period across the southeastern quadrant of the uk. the rain could get as far north as essex. it should gradually clear come the afternoon. in contrast, look how quiet it is elsewhere. a chilly wind following on behind

that area of rainfall and some showers getting pulled into east anglia and a few sharper winds for western scotland. temperatures, while still struggling a little for many of us, highs of seven or eight degrees. come thursday evening, the low pulls away. then we see a more organised band of showers in from the west. but light winds ahead, temperatures are likely to fall. a fairly extensive frost and then we see showers and ice can be a significant risk across western britain the first thing on friday. this front is a kind of patchy affair. the rain definitely through friday daytime and more showers again in a solid and persistent block and i think for some areas, it mayjust manifest in some thickening cloud for a time as it drifts in from the west on friday. most likely to see showers in scotland and northern ireland and western wales in the far southwest of england. friday overall, light winds and should be a fair amount of sunshine. here comes the weekend. and this big area of pressure heading our way. it shouldn't be anywhere

near as severe as the feature we saw last weekend and shouldn't be made into a named storm. the worst of the rainfall should sweep through overnight saturday into sunday. so for saturday, while a lot of cloud is around, actually quite a lot of dry weather and rain to the afternoon and northern ireland and scotland. temperatures on saturday average for the time of the year, talking about nine and ten degrees. as the system moves through overnight, temperatures in some spots may come up as a plume of warm air goes through ahead of the front but for sunday, going into cooler temperatures behind it and some quite sharp showers running around. there will be sunny intervals at times. temperatures look similar on the face of it for sunday but it will feel chillier on sunday as we pick up a northwesterly.
