an epidemic now "are slim to nil". in total, 206 people have now been infected in the uk — two people have died. both were elderly and with underlying health issues. globally there are more than 100,000 cases — nearly three and half thousand people have died, the vast majority in china. 0ur health correspondent dominic hughes reports. the second person to die in the uk after being infected with coronavirus is a man in his 80s who was being treated in hospital in milton keynes. we know he had underlying health problems, but are still uncertainties over exactly how he fell ill. we do not know how he caught coronavirus, we do know that he had been travelling but he did not meet any of the criteria for isolation when he arrived in the

welcome to this elephant sanctuary. this is naomi, one of the many female keepers here. elephant sanctuaries are normally run by the state but this one is owned and run by the community, in amongst kenya's second largest elephant population. the babies that we get we have for different reasons, like we have been abandoned. it is not easy for an elephant to abandon a baby but sometimes one of them becomes sick and the mother decides to go. the baby suffers starvation and attack by predators and when people from the community sees this happening they report to us and we decrease the risk to the baby. that is where naomi and her fellow keepers

in, raising, feeding and nurturing the babies and then... when they are three years and eight months old, we will release them back into the wild. being owned by the community means this sanctuary can help form bonds between the locals and the animals in what has not always been an easy relationship. years back, there were problems, but now we have educated these people to stop using harmful instruments to scare the wildlife away. they now use less harmful instruments. conflict has gone down. as well as being community owned, they say they are the first sanctuary to employ women as keepers, giving them an empowering role both in the community and in the care of the special animals. they hope this example will be followed elsewhere. this means naomi and her colleagues are doing their bit not just for
