spurs will be able to be in that spurs will be able to be in that spurs will be able to be in that position as well, but... next yearin that position as well, but... next year injerusalem, that position as well, but... next year in jerusalem, that that position as well, but... next year injerusalem, that will be our spot! well done to liverpool, though and well done to juergen spot! well done to liverpool, though and well done tojuergen klopp. mihir bose, you touched upon the quality of the football itself. touch upon that a little bit more, just how well these guys played. yes, what he did was he brought the tea m yes, what he did was he brought the team together that had such great defence and players who could score. this was not a gritty liverpool side, this was a side who if for one moment you could forget your partisan loyalties, played inspirational football, football which was thrilling to watch, who defended very well and rarely conceded a goal, they always looked in command and they dominated play ina way in command and they dominated play in a way that, you know, there are teams that win and at the end of that you don't know why they have one. it is the old story of 1—0 to

arsenal, if i may say so, and yes, the score shows you win, but when you watch liverpool play your senses will fail. this is what football is, it is supposed to be a pledge beautiful game and they played it in the most beautiful fashion. beautiful game and they played it in the most beautifulfashion. all of the most beautifulfashion. all of the players, they moved the ball around with such great speed and precision. they always looked like scoring a goal and never looked like conceding a goal. and it feels really satisfying, doesn't it, because in last season they were beaten to the title by manchester city, despite liverpool only losing one game, so city, despite liverpool only losing one game, so it feels like this is football coming home to the team that has won? yes, and i think the fans will think that as well. as you say, it is difficult for many who wa nt say, it is difficult for many who want to be able to get together to celebrate anywhere they would normally want to, but i think there will be loads of people celebrating privately in their homes or with one
10:47 pm
other household. this is a historic achievement. it has been a very strange season, after all, and it is lovely to have something to celebrate. we have been through some really tough times export, as with everything else, so give liverpool the credit and i hope the fans have a really, really enjoyable time celebrating. yes, and celebrating safely, let's add. let's turn to the i, i'm sure the next edition will be speaking a lot more about liverpool's success and congratulations to them, but let's turn to the i because on its front page it has chaos on the beaches. this is after bournemouth today being declared a major incident, following the scenes of the overcrowding and the gridlocked roads in the run—up, of course. loads of different facilities that are closed, so people being funnelled down to the beach and hear the pictures were extraordinary. one of the hottest days here on record as well. yes, and if you look at the
10:48 pm
picture and you were away on some other planet you wouldn't think we would have had the coronavirus. you wouldn't think we had a lockdown. this looks like a great summer day. you know, the sun has come out, it is so hot and people are out on the beaches. i think what has happened basically... in spain, people have been going on the beaches and in spain they had a lot done earlier and stricter than us, but they had people marshalling there, keeping sure there was social distancing and i think some of the people who were being interviewed on the subject we re being interviewed on the subject were saying we have nowhere else to 90, were saying we have nowhere else to go, all the other facilities are close. the prime minister said we are coming out of national hibernation and here, having seen the sun come out in such glory, people have rushed to the beaches andi people have rushed to the beaches and i have a certain amount of sympathy for them because suddenly you open the taps and the water has flowed, so i think more attempts should be made to see that on the beaches there is social distancing. they should have been people patrolling the beaches to make sure that we didn't have scenes like that
10:49 pm
because they are very worrying scenes and scientists have warned us that we can't afford to be complacent now that the relaxation of lockdown is coming. was there an inevitability about the scenes, given that the lockdown we are hearing much more relaxation coming up hearing much more relaxation coming up and this is coming ahead of what has been a very, very hot a few days? to be honest, if people can't go away on holiday and if people are furloughed from work and not really being able to be out for a long time and the gems are shut and the places they might normally go to meet each other are shut —— the gins are shut. what does one expect? this is natural and normal. to be fair, i know there have been some attempts at marshalling on the beaches. some people were apparently a little bit worse for drink and were refusing to obey instructions to not be too
10:50 pm
close together, but bournemouth beachis close together, but bournemouth beach is enormous! you know, it is a very long and deep stretch of beach and it is astonishing, actually, that so many people were able and free during the week to begin be able to go down to the beaches and i think we need to recognise that the country is not normal at the moment. many people would perhaps be away overseas at this point, especially at this time of the year. other people would normally be at work during the day, but at the moment they are not. so this is likely with they are not. so this is likely with the weather we have got and with everything else being so shut. this is likely to be a huge risk and it might be a reason for the government to consider whether we need to open up to consider whether we need to open up other areas of the economy, so we are not crowding people into certain places, which cause this kind of

chaos. the new york times also putting borisjohnson the new york times also putting boris johnson under attack, describing this as liberty before lives, when it comes to these restrictions, these loosening of restrictions, these loosening of restrictions which are coming up on the 4th restrictions which are coming up on the lith ofjuly. quite strong words there from the new york times. yes, and what is important is that this is an opinion piece on the front page of the new york times. this is not a news piece, which is what you would expect on the front page of the paper. it is worth reading out, it says, brexit has propelled the nation to its current calamity. basically, it singles out the prime minister for basically, it singles out the prime ministerfor making basically, it singles out the prime minister for making claims basically, it singles out the prime ministerfor making claims going back to what happened, taking us out of europe, a decision that the new york times obviously disagreed with and the way, it is a critique of the way the boris johnson administration has what it feels mishandled and mismanaged the whole coronavirus crisis, taking late decisions, not
10:52 pm
admitting the mistakes that he has made and then throughout coming in late with the lockdown and now the way the relaxation is being done, actually, probably leading us to another pitfall and maybe even a calamity. but this is a very, very strong piece to have on the front page of one of the major papers in the world. it suddenly picks up on the world. it suddenly picks up on the results for speaking for themselves describing the country as having won at the highest death tolls per capita from coronavirus in the world. bearing in mind that new york has seen very high figures as well, so this is pretty damning. york has seen very high figures as well, so this is pretty damningm is actually a very astonishing piece. it is really critical of the government. in a very aggressive manner. talking pretty much ridiculing brexit and ridiculing the government's record on currently how it is handling the latest crisis. it
10:53 pm
is talking about johnson's supposedly wanting to liberate britain, but he has ended up looking it down. well, everyone else has lockdown as well. but also saying that we have the highest death toll in europe, which is true, but one doesn't need necessarily to spell it out on the front page of the new york times. especially given that the absolutely highest number of deaths is not in this country. but also, i think there's an here of real critique of the way the british government is being run and of brexit, which is quite surprising at this stage. they are making a point that it this stage. they are making a point thatitis this stage. they are making a point that it is almost four years to the days since the referendum and the country is basically been going downhill according to the new york times in this editorial piece. one
10:54 pm
wonders exactly what point they are making because it is prettily pretty destructive, but it is not really saying what it thinks should have happened, it is just saying what it thinks should have happened, it isjust everything britain has done is wrong and it is a most unusual pieces, i think. the point that the new york times is making is valid. there have been some very major mistakes and missteps in the way this government has handled the crisis and the point, as we have always said, this is british exceptionalism. we are going to have the best testing, the best apps, you know? we have a better scientists and judged against that we have performed very poorly. yes, i know, why the new york times has run its editorial piece on the front page is another matter, but some of the points it is making are very valid and are based on facts. they are, but i'm not sure what the point of making those points actually is, especially as an to say, we could have shown you how to do it, we could have shown you a better way. and that, there are
10:55 pm
countries in europe that have done a lot better than us, and they are not mentioned. countries elsewhere in the world that have done a lot better than us. so it seems to me this is a particular political agenda against the british current administration and it is most unusual, i think, administration and it is most unusual, ithink, fora major international newspaper to do this andi international newspaper to do this and i am sure that the government will be quite shocked to see that. yes, you are right, it is true and yes, you're right, there have been mistakes along the way, but it is quite surprising that now this particular piece is written in the way it is, without any lessons to be learnt. it is just way it is, without any lessons to be learnt. it isjust destructive. i'm going to break you to up, just for the time being and just finish on such a slightly more positive note because i want to go back to liverpool because we have got some live shots from anfield,
10:56 pm
where the fans out there celebrating and they have got a lot to celebrate, let's face it. a first league title after 30 years, so we 2,2 they're in very much - on the streets e suspect
