full schools facing huge test. the full court at the bottom, head teachers urging government to drop plans to find parents for children absence. it'll be interesting to see how many kids do go back and have any parents have kept them back because they are worried. of course. there will be different reasons that some people may be half keeping the children back from school and the next few days. if you are from the family where somebody is vulnerable our children, you have extra reason perhaps to keep your child back from school if you think a child is doing well with remote learning, if they're in a at risk group, or if they're in a at risk group, or if they are younger and in a lower risk group, it will affect your decision. i have a four and half year old who is starting school and a week or two and i'm more than happy for her to go. she is at very low risk and there is nobody in my family or her contacts who she is going to potentially pass anything off onto a cost problem. it is fine. she is desperate to get to school and i'm desperate to get to school and i'm desperate to get her out of the house. laughter. all she is not listening at home. i hope not. -- i

hope she does not listening. let's go to leigh figaro. if we have problems here it with communication and mixed messages, it seems france at the same problems. i'm not actually. we will go onto the number. i'm being told that donald trump has come out. i think we will probably this draw sums here and we will go it here so madonna song. back to you in about a0 minutes' time. donald speaking. happy with the fall a01(k), that is a tremendous achievement. best and 36 years. let me begin with a brief update on the china virus over the last month, our new cases in the united states have declined by 38%. last week we announced a breakthrough in testing that will allow staff over 150 million rapid point—of—care test, the test returning the results in less tha n the test returning the results in less than 15 minutes and many will
10:47 pm
be deployed to nursing homes who are being focusing very strongly on nursing homes. assisted living facilities and other locations that serve high risk populations, so we will have the 15 minute and less test and we will have 150 million rapid point—of—care test. this evening i'm pleased to announce that astrazeneca vaccine has reached the phase three clinical trials, that is joining another group of vaccines that are very close to the end. and hopefully approval. in the united states, we a re hopefully approval. in the united states, we are doing things that nobody thought would've been even possible, this is a process that we are taking in some cases years and we did in a matter of months. thank you to the efforts of operation at warp speed, we remain attracted to delivering vaccine very rapidly in record times. i also want to provide an update on left—wing clinical violence that we are seeing and

democrat run cities. under my administration, federal law enforcement is working with state and local authorities all over the country to come through hours of videos, track down rioters, looters and arsonists and bring them to justice. we have just and arsonists and bring them to justice. we havejust come and arsonists and bring them to justice. we have just come out with a report that we have arrested a large number of people, over 200 come and you will hear about that but they have been arrested in various cities throughout the united states. we a re various cities throughout the united states. we are doing it very low—key and trying to help cities. in all cases, there are democrat run but we are doing the best we can to help them without really much of a consent for us that we would like to have the consent in portland, we can solve that problem in approximately one hour. but the mayor refuses, perhaps for political reasons, i don't know why it is good for him to have a city that is falling apart. and under siege now for 9a days. but really it has been under siege for yea rs if really it has been under siege for years if you know portland. to the miracle i say whenever you are
10:49 pm
ready, let us know, we will solve your problem of violence, crime, we will arrest the criminals very rapidly and you will be able to have some nice evenings in portland. the department of homeland security and the department ofjustice are not announcing a joint operation to investigate the violent left—wing civil unrest and again in portland along the federal government has already taken care of and arrested 100 riotersjust in already taken care of and arrested 100 rioters just in that one city, the wave of violence and destruction that we have seen in recent weeks and months has occurred in cities exclusively controlled and dominated by the joe biden exclusively controlled and dominated by thejoe biden party. if you take a look, the top ten in the country are democrats, it is democrat run cities, it is a shame and he could be sought so easily. it can be solved very easily. the violence is
10:50 pm
fuelled by dangers, rhetoric from farther politicians, they demonise oui’ farther politicians, they demonise our nation and mnes are police. we have to allow our police to do what they are good at doing. we have taken that power away. they are afraid to lose their pensions, their jobs, everything. they are afraid to be destroyed. we solved the left—wing extremist attack on a law—abiding citizen attending the rnc at the white house, including senator rand paul and his wonderful wife kelly, what they want to come up wife kelly, what they want to come up with other people went through it as well. that was done very systematically, done on purpose. they knew we were having the convention and they wanted to do everything they could to disrupt it. and the good news is the public is very wise to it. they see what is happening. i think they are probably acting accordingly, left—wing writers are repeating the same foss

narrative about america that you hear about the this from people, what they are saying, how they are saying it, the violence committed terrible. again, it is democrat politicians. i don't know the heiress fearing it on or afraid to stop it. but in any event, where there to help and get things under control. —— i don't know if they are sparing it on. what they did thursday night at the white house just outside of the white house to people they came from all over the world is a disgrace, a disgrace, and frankly the mayor, the democrat mayor, she should've done a better job. she did a very poorjob. we had the police, who were very brave and help the rand paul. they took a beating. they took some heavy hits. 0ne went down. they got right up into others joined them and they we re into others joined them and they were able to get a rand and kelly through. but it was a terrible thing
10:52 pm
to witness but other people went through it similar things. we don't have the tapes as strong but some people went through from what i heard as bad or worse. the violent rioters shared the samejoe biden talking points in the same agenda for our nation. and even his strange speech today that he made in pittsburgh come he didn't mention the fact that, he didn't mention the far left orfor the fact that, he didn't mention the far left or for what the fact that, he didn't mention the far left orfor what i the fact that, he didn't mention the far left or for what i saw a come i don't believe he mentioned the word antifa. antifa is a criminal organisation. he didn't mention antifa thugs and mostly seem to blame the police and law enforcement. he went on point at the point after point, even talked about those on the right but he didn't talk about those on the left. those on the left of the problem. antifa is the problem. the rioters, joe biden, they have a side. they're both on the side of the radical left. that is so obvious and until
10:53 pm
that neutralises, you will never have safe areas in those democrat run areas. joe biden has given moral aid and comfort to the vandals repeating the monstrous lie that these were people process. they are not peaceful. that is anarchy. —— peaceful protest. look at the agitated. you look at the looters. you look at the rioters. that is not a peaceful protest. they keep using the term peaceful protest and behind the term peaceful protest and behind the reporter, the cities are burning. we can solve it very quickly if they ask us to come in like we did in minneapolis. and like we just stayed in wisconsin where i will be going tomorrow. and at least the governor asked me if i could, i said you have to get the national guard in. he finally agreed to even a small number. but they were able to ta ke a small number. but they were able to take care of things. i was about five days ago. ever since, it has
10:54 pm
been very good. 13 members ofjoe biden's campaign staff donated to mailand biden's campaign staff donated to mail and rioters, getting them out ofjail, looters, mail and rioters, getting them out of jail, looters, they mail and rioters, getting them out ofjail, looters, they got them out ofjail, looters, they got them out ofjail, looters, they got them out ofjail, and ofjail, looters, they got them out of jail, and his ofjail, looters, they got them out ofjail, and his running mate, kemal harris to merge their supporters to do the same thing. it is outrageous they are now seeking to shift the blame from the mayhem. —— kamala. they want to put on the back of the police. i see it. the police are, there is a war on law enforcement in this country. and without law enforcement, when you have a country. we are very talented people that are now allowed to do their jobs. if you give the radical left power, which are saying and the run cities would be brought to every city in this country. if they have that power come every city in this country for to be potentially another portland or another chicago with a fat such problems, to defeat them we mustjail
10:55 pm
with a fat such problems, to defeat them we must jail lawbrea kers with a fat such problems, to defeat them we mustjail lawbreakers who we must defeat their hateful ideology. —— who have had such problem. we must teach our children that america is an exceptional, free and just nation, where defending and protecting and that is what we want to do. they want to destroy our country. they will destroy our suburbs. but i think i've got a long way from allowing that to happen. the suburbs are protected, especially with the world changes i made. i think them out of the 0bama administration. they were going to be made watchwords. what we are witnessing today is a result of left—wing indoctrination on our nation schools and universities. many young americans have been fed lies about america being a wicked nation played by racism. indeed, joe biden and his party spent the entire convention spreading this hateful and destructive message while refusing to say one word about the violence, they didn't even discuss law enforcement. those words were
10:56 pm
not mentioned. two words that were mentioned taking out where the words under god, under god, to very important words in the pledge of allegiance. they did it twice at the caucus. they took it out of the pledge of allegiance. we will pull out of this press conference by donald trump at the white house. as expected, making much of the law and order issues around america at the moment and also criticising joe biden and the democrats for their failure to attack or to criticise the people behind the demonstrations he said the violence was fuelled by the far left and they were attacking the far left and they were attacking the police and the country institution. more on that in a minute. now to the weather. hello.

a month which delivered a lot of weather bite is going out with barely a whimper. very quiet today, but quiet weather for some means increasing activity, a fitting picture as we go from august into meteorological autumn. and whether it was a bank holiday or not where you are, it was quiet weather across the uk today. due to high pressure slowly moving away for tuesday, low pressure arriving later in the week. that means some wetter, windier weather once again, but nowhere near as stormy as it was last week. as we get into tonight, we will find its staying dry for most. variable cloud, some clear spells, chilly again for the time of year. into low single figures for the coldest spots, but you will notice a bit of rain just very slowly moving into northern ireland, into scotland or the western aisles, and these low temperatures will be holding up overnight. it is a very weak weather system that will clear through northern ireland tomorrow morning, brightening up again afterwards. it will take some very patchy rain further east across scotland as the day goes on. for england and wales, it's a repeat of today's weather. that means it high pressure, it's dry, variable cloud, some sunny spells. but with more of a southerly breeze now, the temperature up

byjust a degree or so. low pressure moving in for wednesday, and that means we are going to see some wetter weather spreading across the uk. there will be someone windy weather with that as well. and there will be some heavier burst of rain moving into northern ireland, pushing up across scotland, through parts of northern and western england and wales. not much rain. eventually, it will take quite a bit of the day, reaching across to eastern parts of england. it will be a windier day wherever you are. gusts towards the end of the day and into wednesday night for northern and western parts of scotland, especially into the islands, approaching 50 mph or so. as for the temperature, most of us still rooted in single figures. rain continues to sink south and east across the uk going into thursday. it will tend to weaken as it does so. behind it, brighter skies with a few blustery showers, especially into western scotland. ahead of that weather system with cloud and not much rain reaching into central and eastern parts of england, temperatures willjust be heading up
