nothing exceptional for this time of year. tomorrow, quite a lot of cloud in the north—east of scotland, still some showers further south particularly in the eastern half of england. the best sunshine in northern ireland, wales and the south—west. not quite as windy as it has been in the last couple of days but still pretty cool, 10—14 at best. similar on friday, some fairly large areas of cloud around, potentially thick enough to squeeze out the odd spot of rain or light shower but equally, there will be some brighter spells with highs of 11-13 . some brighter spells with highs of 11—13 . weekend looks predominantly dry, not always desperately sunny with a fair dry, not always desperately sunny withafairamount dry, not always desperately sunny with a fair amount of cloud and temperatures once again struggling, 13 or 1a degrees at best but a big change heading into next week because low pressure will take over, you can see frontal system is approaching and that brings the potential for some pretty heavy rain and brisk winds. make the most of the dry weather when you get it over

by the culture secretary, and as "damaging" by the premier league itself. today, at a meeting — clubs voted to abandon the plan. which raises the question — what's next for the football league bail—out? where will it come from and will it come in time to save those lower league clubs who say they have just a matter of weeks to survive? lets let's speak to our sports correspondent laura scott who's been following this story for us today — never much support at the higher level of the game for this plan — what was said at this meeting? this was the first time of the premier league cloud selection got around the table with a virtual one, to discuss the project since the plans emerged on sunday. we understand that liverpool and manchester united were both on the call, albeit not the main proponents of project pick picture —— big picture. they said that they would

not endorse or pursue project big picture, but what they would do is work together on strategic plan on moving forward. and promoting a discussion of potential change in the status quo and what richard master is set on the back of the cults that perhaps there were systemic issues that had not been dealt with in the strategic plan will endeavour to address those but clearly over the last few days, there's been a lot of oppositions and in project big picture, there the association from the premier league and concerns about being potentially damaging and we heard from the chief executive today, and he said that he did not expect it to get much traction and should not be given much credence. we also heard, mentioned from the culture secretary who called in project power grab it and said that he thought it would, perhaps highlighted the failure of

football governments but, there was support from clubs we understand that the majority of them did back the proposals and again, the chairman did support. they have put forward some money, just tell us about the sums involved. and project big picture, there is a £250 bailout, and that has now been shelved and but we have isa has now been shelved and but we have is a £50 million rescue package which we understand will be made of £20 million in grants to league1 in league 2 clubs and then the b of £30 million reserve to ensure that no clu bs million reserve to ensure that no clubs go under and we understand thatis clubs go under and we understand that is more likely to be in the form of interest—free loans and it is important to mention and highlight that these are very much targeted at league1

highlight that these are very much targeted at league 1 and league at two levels. there is no guarantee for championship clubs concerns have been raised by premier league clubs that why should they finance their rivals in the championship? but also, there is a concern about wages in the championship exceeding revenue from number of clubs and that the money would not be wisely spent. 0f that the money would not be wisely spent. of the composition will be ongoing about any support to the championship and in the secretary has said that this £50 million rescue that is on top of the solidarity payments is what he calls a good start. thank you very much for that. our sports correspondent. well, let's get a view now from a football league club executive — the ceo of league two club mansfield town, david sharpe. what do you make of this latest development?
