as lee westwood ends the season as the european tour's top player at 47 years old. and title holders exeter get their champions cup campaign off to a winning start with a dominant performance against glasgow. welcome along to sportsday this sunday evening. let's start with liverpool, as they missed out on the chance to go top of the premier league table today after failing to impress in their 1—1 draw at fulham. mohammed salah scored from the spot with just over ten minutes to go, to level things up. it was an impressive showing from fulham, who have struggled so far this season. craig templeton watched this one for us.

sheffield united's dismal start to the season continued as they lost 3—0 at southampton. nathan redmond wrapping up their victory, they're now third as things stand. sheffield united remain rooted to the bottom of the table, with just one point from 12 matches. two evening games in the premier league. it's goalless between arsenal and burnely and leicester lead 1—0 against brighton. in scotland, rangers are 13 points clear of celtic at the top of the scottish premiership after beating dundee united 2—1. captain james tavernier was once again the key man, scoring with this superb free kick, and setting up connor goldson‘s second. champions celtic beat kilmarnock 2—0 to ease the pressure on manager neil lennon. let's take a look at some of the other stories making the headlines today. manchester united remain top of the women's super league after they beat reading 2—i. hayley ladd heading in a late winner for united, who are unbeaten in the league this season.

to the european tour season. all weekend it looked like patrick reed would become the first american to win the race to dubai title — for the top european golfer. but in a late twist, it went to lee westwood, after matthew fitzpatrick won the world tour championship. austin halewood has all the details. in the shadows of the dubai skyline the stage was set for the final day of the european tour, patrick reed, matthew fitzpatrick and lee westwood, all in the hunt to finish the season as european number one. overnight patrick reed was the man to catch but his round did not start well, instead it was fitzpatrick who raced out of the blocks, he birdied each of the first four holes, patrick reed was not done, chipping his way back into contention, but as patrick reed and fitzpatrick traded blows in the dubai desert, lee westwood quietly went about his business, the englishman with five birdies in a closing round of 68 and all he had to do now was wait and with patrick reed's chances going away with this putt on the seventh, it was between fitzpatrick and westwood, but with a better

joshua spoke to the bbc‘s boxing correspondent mike costello its maturity now, i've been here many times before. i feel like this isn't someone i would have faced in my first ten fights, where they haven't got the will of the passion. pulev is fighting for his father, his country, the title. so i knew that it's another mountain i have to climb. i climbed a mountain in round three, i didn't get to the top but i didn't take him out, another mountain i have to climb, so i steadily climbed the next mountain until it was time to get to the top. and when i took him out, it was perfect. tyson fury has already said he is ready. has he? what did he say? it was along the lines of he will take you or three rounds. that's good to hear, at least i will get him in the ring. how do you think the dynamic around the fight has changed?

hello. after today's rain, we have a windy night to come. the we have a windy night to come. showers will stay v there will be a few sunny spells around. the persistent rain will clear away north and east as we go away this evening. some of these showers will be heavy and possibly thundery and accompanied by some gusty winds as well. temperatures are continuing to head up and rising overnight across parts of scotland and north—east england. it will be a mild start on monday. a day of some sunny spells. showers will affect all parts as they push eastwards during the day that they will be some spots in the east with a couple of showers. the rest of the day will be dry with sunny spells. it will be windy tomorrow with gusts around 60 mph. these are average speeds, blustery particularly as the showers move on through. it is a mild start to the week and it is looking fairly mild throughout the week but with further rain at times.
