leicester's boxing day meeting with newcastle was one. bath were playing for the first time in three weeks after two of their games were called off. it took them just a few minutes to find their feet as leicester allowed beno 0bano to cross the line. but ben spencer didn't need any help. he cruised through to register try number two. first half penalties the last pass to freddie steward and they trailed 17—16 at the break. the tigers needed to carry the momentum into the second half. they did just that. harry wells added his name to the scoresheet. their lead was eroded by penalties but refreshed with a try from cameron henderson. bath hit back with a late score, but it wasn't enough and they left welford road with a losing bonus point. england's cricketers have arrived in sri lanka for their two—test tour. a charter flight landed in the south of the island, where all members of the party
