that searing pace, it is two! these are the moments that make football what it is, the explosion of uncontrolled toy that comes with scoring a goal breaks among sport's great highs, and experience to be shared, but this is not an age of hogging. affable has been told to tighten up and spaced out, to isolate and celebrate at the same time. —— now football has been. that might mean this is the final chorus for non—league chorley even if they get another unlikely win in the cup. and... i don't even celebrate goals, because of the var, i adapt, with certain direction of controlling emotions, that i believe players can also can do a little bit of the same. premier league players are tested far more regularly than those at the levels below, and if you play football, by keeping two metres

apart from everyone else, you're probably not doing it right. so is there much point in relegating celebrating? to control the emotions when you're going to hundred miles an houragain, it when you're going to hundred miles an hour again, it is... when you're going to hundred miles an houragain, it is... we when you're going to hundred miles an hour again, it is... we ask our players in corners to be men marking people, to be pushing people around, and then we cannot say hello to anybody. it gets a little bit controversial. the answer may be found by zooming out. this is due by, a recent destination for celtic, trips that did not necessarily break the law but for some defined the spirit of the times, and the resulting cases... this sprinter has ward football is not to ruin it for other athletes. if our elite sport assumption is taken away for

athletes like myself, trying to train and prepare for an olympics without track access and jim access is just so without track access and jim access isjust so difficult, without track access and jim access is just so difficult, and without track access and jim access isjust so difficult, and ijust sort of wanted everyone who has been given that elite sport exemption to just not take that for granted. symbolism and the power of an example are important right now, so before tonight's game between chef united and newcastle united, the referee reminded players to say divide were possible —— chef you connected. the stands will be empty, but many will be watching closely. patrick gearey, bbc news. ican i can tell you that game is a scoreless, 36 minutes gone there. well, no doubt there'll be a lot of focus on this topic at the three premier league games this evening. we can go live to turf moor now to speak to the bbc‘s football correspondentjohn murray ahead of burnley against manchester united. john, there is going to be a

heightened and increased focus on this over football over the coming days and weeks. yes, from this midweek on it has been made very clear elite sportsmen, footballers, are going to be watched very carefully, how they conduct themselves. already, the authorities have said that they will, and indeed have, remind clubs of the responsibilities to adhere to the strict particles in place. now, they will be quite a close scrutiny on players who celebrate, what the example is post—and pre—match between the two sets of players, shirt swapping, that kind of thing, so shirt swapping, that kind of thing, soi shirt swapping, that kind of thing, so i think there has -- it —— it has been made very clear to them they must watch their step and adhere to the protocols. john, you are at turf moor for burnley against manchester united, manchester united ina good manchester united, manchester united in a good run of form, particularly away from home. a chance to go on

top of the premier league on offer. after this game, manchester united go to anfield to play the champions liverpool, who are currently top of the table, and if tonight and just united are able to get a point, that means manchester united will go to anfield on sunday ahead of liverpool on the table and they would be at the top of the premier league table at this stage of the season for the first time since sir alex ferguson was manager back in 2013, and what was manager back in 2013, and what was his final season, when manchester united did finish champions for the most recent time. mentioning that, does this feel significant? i suppose in the tenure of ole gunnar solskjaer, there has been a lot of ups and downs. are we find more consistency? is this essentially on for a title contention from them? they are where they want to be, they are currently challenging liverpool at the top of

the table, so that is the position they intend to be, but ole gunnar solskjaer is actually right, and any seasoned observer will tell you, the only time you want to be top is the end of the season. that is the target. they have got an enormous job on their hands if they are going to finish above liverpool, manchester city, but so far, so good, but as ever with manchester united, that is always subject to change. it certainly is. just finally, before we let you go, what about burnley and their hopes this evening? burnley drive more points they have games played, and a key pa rt they have games played, and a key part of that, with the return from injury for the two central defenders, ben mee and james tarkowski. nick pope has kept more clea n tarkowski. nick pope has kept more clean sheets in golden david de gea has come and that is why they have moved up the table and away from the legation spot. —— from relegation

the postponements due to covid are giving the premier league little choice but to play the fixtures when they can. the biggest impact is to have matches postponed. that is the biggest impact. the changing of the order of the matches, the impact is i would say minimal. in the end, you have to play 19 matches at home and 19 matches away, you have - if two matches against every team. if it is to help the premier league to go into handle properly, i think is a solution we all have to accept. let's ta ke let's take a quick round up of some of the day's other sports storeys. liverpool women's manager vickyjepson has left the club afterjust over two years in charge. liverpool were relegated from the women's super league last season and are eight points adrift of the leaders in the championship this season. jepson has been at the club
