still down and where to 13 celsius, still down and where we should be. here's a quick comparison. we will be there for a good part of this week. into wednesday, the cold and frosty star, the chance of mist and fog but most places staying dry on wednesday, even with a bit of cloud and one or two showers. a big difference into wednesday on the eastern coast, the chill returns, the wind coming off the sea as the high pressure shifts, when going round in a clockwise fashion, north—easterly wind bringing the air of the sea temperatures of 7 or 8 degrees. not much above that through the day. one or two showers for east anglia but most parts of the uk on thursday will be dry again. sunny spells, the best of it in the morning, more cloud in the afternoon. beyond that most places will stay dry, temperatures looking a little into the weekend. but we could see some rain in scotland and northern ireland. a reminder of our top story...

i'm sure most of us have been looking forward to today, the next step of lockdown easing. i'll be making the most of it straight after this shift. i've really missed the gym. indoor pools and leisure centres have also reopened, giving a huge boost for recreational sport. here's our correspondentjoe wilson. monday morning in birmingham, jeremy sharp is finally back where he belongs — a gym session after the pool. he exercised for 30 years, week in, week out — until lockdown. jeremy has cerebral palsy. he need fitness for crucial mobility, to keep the life he wants to live. the activities many people turned to during lockdown simply weren't possible forjeremy — he needs to be here. it is absolutely brilliant. i actually got quite emotional about it first thing this morning, which i didn't expect to do. moving my muscles at the moment is like trying to move a brick wall.
