hello, welcome to sportsday, i m austin halewood — coming up this evening. organisers say the european super league can no longer go ahead... after more clubs follow those from the premier league, and step away from the project. and what about the fans? how will the clubs rebuild their relationship with their supporters... we'll be live outside the tottenham hotspur stadium. and the world of sport reacts to the conviction of derek shauvin in the murder trial of george floyd.

welcome to the programme... now of course, there's only one place to start tonight as the fallout continues from the collapsed european super league... on sunday, it's organisers said that the 12 teams from across europe — including the premier league's *so—called' big six — had come together "at a critical moment" to "transform european competition" and "help football at every level". but since, the reaction from players and fans — from across the globe — has been fierce... with protests and banners outside many of the 12 clubs invloved. and so little more than 48 hours after it was first propsed. .. the plans started to crumble. as one—by—one all six of the premier league clubs withdrew. today, clubs in italy and spain have begun to pull out, with the plan seemingly off — in what's been another dramatic 2a hours in the super league saga....
