thundery showers later in the day. a cooler day everywhere but no suitably so for eastern scotland and north—east england. —— noticeably sold. lower pressure still sitting towards the south threatening rain. we could pick up some showers across england and wales and they could be some cold and damp and cloudy weather across north—east england and scotland. for many parts of the north of the uk it will be dry with a little sunshine, probably more sunshine for the northern areas on sunday and so temperatures will be a bit higher to the south. we have the threat of thundery rain moving further north into southern england, wales, perhaps to the midlands as well. some uncertainty as to how far north the rain will get on sunday. a reminder of our top story... millions of holiday—makers hoping to go abroad this summer look set to be disappointed as the government updates travel restrictions with greece, spain and france are

in for the race injuly. the two—time defending champion andy murray gets the nod for great britain's tennis team at the tokyo 0lympics. welcome along, thanks forjoining us. after last night's excitement at euro 2020, today there was a chance for everyone to catch their breath with the first of two rest days. the dramatic climax to group f ultimately confirmed that germany will be the side that faces england at wembley next tuesday in the last 16. 0lly foster is in burton, near the england training camp and joins us now. there were moments last night when england were going to face france, then portugal, then hungary, in the end it was germany again — how are they feeling about their opponents?
6:34 pm
you mentioned some of the words they are, they say they are excited about the prospect of taking on germany, yet again so many historic ties down the years. group f was bonkers, it changed eight times throughout the course of the evening, and of course, the england players are watching it. they had their first day off from the tournament last night, and for an evening's entertainment they had a barbecue before those two matches out on the terrace, some alfresco dining, then ed sheeranjust terrace, some alfresco dining, then ed sheeran just casually popped up for a socially distanced turn on his guitar, and he had a socially distanced a chat with some of the players before they went to watch those group f matches. now remember, they knew who they were playing in they knew who they were playing in the group for over a year because this is the delayed euros, but now they've got next tuesday and all their training will be geared up and focused on germany. so there's a

real buzz about the place, you just feel as if there tournament will stop up. jordan henderson there, when we spoke to him today, was out there training with the rest of the group — there was no harry maguire there managing his work load, so he trained individually away from the main party, and we still have ben chilwell and mason mount self isolating. they only come out of that on match day next tuesday. very doubtful whether they will be involved at all. such a young squad there, but henderson only turned 31, a bit of an old man in the group, last week. he was born in the middle of an italian 90, just a few days before england doctor germany out in one of those historic matches in the semifinal. i asked one of those historic matches in the semifinal. iasked him one of those historic matches in the semifinal. i asked him what this picture means to him. he played against germany and berlin five years ago, but he picked out in the world cup in 2010, the frank lampard goal that never was, and germany winning that one in the last 16 for—

amazing victory against the portuguese when we thought here was the real germany, then they gave themselves that real scare when they had to come from behind twice in munich against hungary. my word, they left it really late. first was kai havertz, who scored an equaliser, then they scored in 90 seconds. it was their substitute who saw them through by the skin of their teeth 2—2 this finished second in the group. if nothing else they showed an awful lot of character, and they're just so much looking forward to getting back to wembley. remember this is his last hurrah after 15 years in charge. he says it's an absolute highlight to play england at wembley, "we will be well prepared and will perform differently than we did against the hungarians, i can promise that." taste hungarians, i can promise that." we

look forward to that five days away. 0lly foster, thank you. in less than 48 hours, the round of 16 kicks off at euro 2020 with wales taking on denmark in amsterdam. no doubt, the danes have provided the uplifting story of the tournament — inspired by christian eriksen's recovery after suffering a cardiac arrest against finland. today wales have arrived in the netherlands ahead of the match — and hwell griffith is in the dutch capital for us. there'll be a lot of attention on demark because of what happened to eriksen — wales have to put that out of their minds? it's an issue the wells players have been able to talk about this week, ben davies knows christian eriksen very well, he was upset when erickson collapsed in that first game, and they've been sending their
6:40 pm
good wishes and repeating those good wishes for him and the wider team even since they were drawn against each other. so they know that may be a lot of neutrals will be backing the danes, certainly when the stadium opens on saturday, far more danish fans inside then welsh ones, and maybe the neutrals will be back in denmark. but even so, whales think that they can cope with that pressure, they can cope with that narrative. here's connor roberts. 99% of the world are going to be supporting denmark on saturday. it's going to be tough but, like you say, we're a good team, we've got good players and we have got a little bit of momentum, some good performances and all that kind of thing. so hopefully, we can take into saturday now and, yeah, we all know it's going to be tough, they're a good team, they are going to have a lot of support. but when you cross that white line, you just have to give everything. and if it's good enough, it is, then if not, it's not.
6:41 pm
how do you think denmark are feeling about the straw? they know how dangerous whales can be, but they've been playing one of the favourite. —— this draw? i been playing one of the favourite. -- this draw?— -- this draw? i think both teams would appreciate _ -- this draw? i think both teams would appreciate the _ -- this draw? i think both teams would appreciate the draw- -- this draw? i think both teams| would appreciate the draw given, both have dodged bigger names left in this tournament. the danish manager has been talking about whales as a very good team, they've got more than one string to their bow, more than one way of playing. so he expected to be a very even game, talking about a 50—50 game. now denmark come into this with a lot of goodwill but also good form. they've beaten whales twice in the past couple years, they met in the same group and the nation's league with denmark winning both those ties. i think denmark will go in as many people's favourites, but they are downplaying this. 0bviously there's so much relief and emotions released after that victory in the

russian collocation stage, but they'll need to temper those emotions and maybe see this is another game of football rather than something that carries so much weight and emotion. i something that carries so much weight and emotion.— something that carries so much weight and emotion. i think both sides will be _ weight and emotion. i think both sides will be happy _ weight and emotion. i think both sides will be happy to _ weight and emotion. i think both sides will be happy to call - weight and emotion. i think both sides will be happy to call the i sides will be happy to call the other the favourite. we will leave it there, thank you. some fans who bought euro 2020 tickets two years ago, predicting that england would win their group and reach the last 16, say uefa sold on their tickets with no warning in a flash sale yesterday. their original tickets were for dublin, where the game was supposed to be played, before being moved to wembledy because of the covid situation in ireland. a short while ago, i spoke to our senior sports news reporter laura scott, who's been explaining what happened. so we started hearing this on social media yesterday that there had been some issues with the fans who had tickets when a game was originally meant to be played in dublin, and had bought their tickets back in 2019. of course the tournament was meant to be last year, so they'd had
6:43 pm
their tickets for two years. but when the game had to be moved from dublin because they couldn't guarantee that they'd be able to have fans and uefa rescheduled those games, they found out the game was due to be played at wembley. a lot of them were seemingly quite happy about that, but the issue arose because many of the men received an e—mail today from uefa to say the tickets were on sale. now for some of them, if they were on their phones or able to access the tickets very quickly, many were left unable to buy the tickets that they had had backin to buy the tickets that they had had back in 2019 and had been refunded for. now i spoke to one england fan named james who happened to be on his lunch break when the uefa e—mail came through, and he spoke to me about how it's happened for him. i about how it's happened for him. i was quite fortunate i was able to buy at _ was quite fortunate i was able to buy at the — was quite fortunate i was able to buy at the same category, sol was quite fortunate i was able to buy at the same category, so i was able to— buy at the same category, so i was able to buy— buy at the same category, so i was able to buy a ticket at the same price _ able to buy a ticket at the same price i_ able to buy a ticket at the same price i paid _ able to buy a ticket at the same price i paid back in 2019. but there was no _ price i paid back in 2019. but there was no guarantees he would get a ticket _ was no guarantees he would get a ticket at _ was no guarantees he would get a ticket at the same price point, so

if you _ ticket at the same price point, so if you just — ticket at the same price point, so if you just didn't happen to be able to truy— if you just didn't happen to be able to truy a _ if you just didn't happen to be able to buy a ticket there and then, than that ticket— to buy a ticket there and then, than that ticket from two years ago that cost you _ that ticket from two years ago that cost you 50 euros can all of a sudden — cost you 50 euros can all of a sudden cause you 100 125—180 euros. so it's— sudden cause you 100 125—180 euros. so it's almost like a lack of respect, _ so it's almost like a lack of respect, assuming that we are able to do— respect, assuming that we are able to do that _ respect, assuming that we are able to do that with no... it's quite poor, — to do that with no... it's quite poor. really— to do that with no... it's quite poor, really stop what he's understandably frustrated, laura. what _ understandably frustrated, laura. what have — understandably frustrated, laura. what have your way for us at about this? _ what have your way for us at about this? ., what have your way for us at about this?- these _ what have your way for us at about this?- these fans - what have your way for us at about this?- these fans that - this? -- uefa? these fans that received this _ this? -- uefa? these fans that received this e-mail _ this? -- uefa? these fans that received this e-mail should - this? -- uefa? these fans that i received this e-mail should have received this e—mail should have received this e—mail should have received an exclusive code to give them access to the ticket site. instead, anyone could have access to the ticket site at that time, so although it was only those who had had their tickets cancelled and refunded that received that e—mail,
6:45 pm
anyone could have access to the tickets and there were the tickets. that has led to a concern that actually, a lot of these tickets have ended up in the hands of ticket touts rather than the fans who should have had access to them. uefa do say there will be further ticket sales for this game, we know the england application has yet to be resolved, and also its understood that a lot of the germany allocation could end up going to england fans because, if germany fans don't take up because, if germany fans don't take up that allocation. so you if are trying to reassure fans that there will still be tickets available, but they do except there was an issue with this round of ticket sales. laurie scott speaking to me earlier. time now to look at some of the days other sport stories. and uefa's scrapping the away goals rule in european club football from next season. all ties level on aggregate at the end of the second leg will now go to extra time and potentially penalties. the women's championship is under way in the us. the american leads on
