hello. well, the uk currently is experiencing a spell of unsettled weather.
9:55 pm
let's see how long it's going to last. and the unsettled weather is thanks to the position of the jet stream. you can see a very big dip here across western parts of europe and within this dip is the unsettled weather — a lot of cloud, there's a low pressure lurking here, it's been bringing breezy conditions and frequent showers and you can see that low pressure is slow—moving sitting on top of the uk during the course of the weekend. so, in the short term, not much is going to change. we can expect heavy showers, some of them thundery and downpours in places as well. the forecast for sunday, then, and our low pressure*s right on top of us centred around the central lowlands. it's a very slow moving area of low pressure, so meaning that, yes, the winds are rushing around it reasonably fast giving is the blustery conditions but the whole body of unsettled weather isn't moving far away or very quickly out of the picture. so, lots of shows around tomorrow. just a hint of maybe something drier
9:56 pm
here in the south—west of the country come the afternoon. the showers are expected to continue through sunday evening into the early hours of monday sometimes organising themselves into these bands bringing torrential rain at times but there will be gaps of vibe weather as well like you can set the stage in birmingham and also eastern parts of england. low pressure is still riddled on monday, centred across the uk but starting to slowly away in the direction of norway and thatis away in the direction of norway and that is a hint of things to come. still lots of showers abound on monday. the problem is that the winds will be very like so many showers that do brew when the table be slow—moving and heavy so that heavy rain over you is likely to last for quite some time and it is obviously fairly called for the time of year, most was about 18 celsius and then the change comes on tuesday. that low pressure is over norway and as little ridge of high fisher starts to build across the country which means that the weather
9:57 pm
settles down so, yes, on tuesday's looking much drier but i emphasise the word drier not completely dry because we are expecting showers to form for scotland in some parts of eastern england but overall it's a much quieter, much better picture. it'll feel warmer too. and then mid week ahead of this low pressure we have this high—pressure nosing in from the south and with it also comes a spell of slightly warmer weather. it's not going to be superhot but it is warmer weather at events so that means the temperatures are going to rise a little bit back to really where they should be this time of year. 25 not for everybody but we think about parts of south—eastern and eastern england on wednesday and on thursday as well so, actually, this weather front that's approaching the west of the country will help that bees from the country will help that bees from the south further east across the uk, so places like holland, norwich should have a very pleasant day on wednesday. now, the weatherfront should have a very pleasant day on wednesday. now, the weather front of purchasers on thursday. you can see it's across western parts of england, wales and scotland so here
9:58 pm
the weather starting to turn a little bit fresher as we get closer to this low pressure weather is eastern areas with that southerly breeze hang on to the sunshine and some of that warmth. says that one is going to last? well, the thinking is going to last? well, the thinking is going to last? well, the thinking as across the southern areas of the uk it and bright but the further north you are close you will beat the unsettled weather so belfast and edinburgh always a chance of showers here. goodbye.
