celtic earned their first away win in the league since february after a late 2—1 victory over aberdeen at pittodrie. the visitors took the lead early in the first half, but aberdeen gave themselves a chance after lewis ferguson equalised with that header after the break. butjust six minutes from time, jota got the winnerfrom close range to put celtic six points behind their glasgow rivals. in the women's super league this afternoon, manchester city's poor start to the season continued as they lost at home to west ham 2—0. there were away wins too for everton, 3—0 over reading, and tottenham's women, who continued their 100% record with a 2—0 victory at leicester. let's round up some of the day's other sport away from the football now. there was a huge shock in the prix de l�*arc de triomphe, as the 80/1 shot torquator tasso claimed victory. with all eyes on the favourites, the german horse, ridden byjockey rene piechulek, made a late charge on the outside to claim the upset in the 100th edition of the race at paris longchamp. the winner of the derby, adeyar, could only finish fourth.

danny willett won the alfred dunhill links championship at st andrews. the former masters champion shot a final—round 68 to finish on 18 under par, two shots clear of fellow englishman tyrell hatton. and britain's cameron norrie is into the final of the san diego 0pen later, after he beat the top seed, andrey rublev. norrie recovered from losing the first set to take the next two forjust his second career win over a top—five player. norrie, who is currently the world number 28, will now face another big challenge, playing second seed casper ruud of norway for the title. for the first time since april 2019, thousands of runners took to the streets for the london marathon. there were 36,000 taking part, but the first to cross the finish line in the women's race was kenya'sjoycilinejepkosgei, while there was a surprise winner in the men's marathon. joe wilson reports. the mass start of the london marathon. it was back. the london 2021 marathon

finally under way. over 36,000 began, a little down on recent years, but a great street—filling expression of normal. our annual view returned of everyday people taking on the extraordinary. of course, there are those who make the distance appear simple. marcel hug of switzerland out on his own in the men's wheelchair race, winning in a course—record time. but now have a look at this sprint finish. that's david weir in the grey helmet, taking third place in yet another london marathon, looking as committed as ever — although retirement, he admitted, had been on his mind. it is my 22nd in a row, i don't know how many more i will do. it must be a record for me to keep on going. manuela schar, the other swiss star, was a clear winner, breaking her own course record. the weather was kind — cool, dry and still. for all the elite, that meant quick.

exeter got their first win of the season in rugby union's premiership against 1a—man sale. sale were 10—0 up after ten minutes but had rohanjanse van rensburg sent off for a high tackle. henry slade scored two tries as he recorded 20 points in total. the 25—14 win moves exeter up to ninth place in the premiership table, while sale drop to sixth. leinster rose to third in the united rugby championship with a narrow victory over a dogged dragons team in newport. leinster led 7—0 at half—time, thanks to a max deegan try and ross byrne conversion. dragons narrowed the deficit to a point but couldn't overhaul their irish opponents. elfyn evans boosted his world rally championship title hopes after winning rally finland on sunday. welshman evans finished 11! seconds ahead of estonian 0tt tanak to close the gap on the title rival and team—mate sebastien 0gier

to 21! points with two runs to go. sonny colbrelli battled his way through the rain and mud and conquered the cobbles of northern france to win the men's paris—roubaix cycle race. it's nicknamed the hell of the north, and you can see why. gianni moscon was leading the race when this happened. and although he got back on his bike, he was overtaken by a three—man group including race favourite mathieu van der pole. but colbrelli came out on top in a very tired sprint finish in the roubaix velodrome — the first italian winner this century and a very emotional one. look at that, i don't think he is bothered at all about the mud. congratulations to sally colbrelli. we will see you next time.

hello there. with a mixture of sunshine and blustery showers today, it has been a day for chasing rainbows. this double rainbow was seen in lincolnshire later in the afternoon as the showers whooshed across from the west. and a rainbow in the shetland islands, it has been very windy early on, first some wet weather sweeping eastwards across northern scotland, turning dry overnight. a few showers keeping going overnight, particularly developing light across southern england and wales, the wind off the english channel meaning temperatures remain in double figures. with clearer skies, scotland could see four or five degrees. more showers tomorrow morning, but eastern areas dry, showers more likely out towards the west. the winds will not be as strong tomorrow, temperatures similar to today, and we have got rain developing by the end of the day, it will be a little cooler. the rain is coming from the steepening area of low pressure,

meaning the winds are strengthening around the low as it moves into the uk. curled around this area of low pressure, we have rain moving northwards into scotland, rain continuing across northern england and wales. to the south, turning bright and breezy, dry for northern ireland, but for many a windy day, particularly around coastal areas, and combined with the rain, it will not feel warm at all for large parts of the country, no higher than 13. the wetter, windier weather will pull away as the low pressure moves into continental europe, and high pressure builds in from the atlantic. wednesday is still cloudy and windy to start in eastern england with a few showers. the winds will start to ease down, and more of the country will see sunshine. with the lighter winds, a warmer day on wednesday, but we have increasing cloud and rain arriving into northern ireland by the end of the day,
