land, there are sheep sounds and didgeridoo sounds, and then we had things and you think, is it is string or the sound of the wind and it all gives the film real texture. and i mean it when i say, it is a horrorfilm, but it and i mean it when i say, it is a horror film, but it is on the creepier edge of things. it's to do with atmosphere and a sense of dread and i say this to you because i know you are not a horrorfan, but i do think there is so much in this you would enjoy, not least the terrific performance of kate dickie and it's not a big budget british film and has a real atmosphere about it, so i think it's worth checking out. lots of people will love that and will see even watching that clip, it's beautiful to look out. on the way it captures the loneliness of the terrain, and you do look at it and you think you are on the island and you think you are on the island and you can imagine what the isolation is like because that for me is a particular horror, of being isolated and alone, i'm a social creature. which leads us nicely into. house of

and some very good performance to some great design and then leto who is doing that thing, awards judges, look, i am acting, i am doing this ridiculous voice and he does this voice which is like summary singing and can you just be in the movie with the rest of the cast? there are things in there that i enjoyed and i think lady gaga is great and she will get a nomination. it is the most showy and ludicrous performance. three friends who were acceptable and one of them has now gone to couege and one of them has now gone to college and wants to say that the pirate radio days are behind us but there is another who says what we need to do is go to a big party because there is a girl i want to kiss when it comes to midnight, so they all barrelled towards these plans for midnight in 1999. it was a clip. anything could happen after that, i wouldn't care. this isn't just any new year — it's the new year! anyone who's anyone will be there! and i'm going to be there. we're going to be there! look, whatever happens with sophie, i'm starting the year 2000 twice as flipping nice with my best mates. you want the same thing, right? i know you're not asking me but, for what it's worth, i do. -

can look back to things like american graffiti as a precursor and it doesn't matter when they are set because the lost outlook thing is lovely, but what you care about is, do you like the people as agreed, and the colour palette of the film, the blues and reds, very saturated so it has a very bright look to it and the humour is very funny and the performances are nice and it's kind of low—key in a way that is a nice surprise and there's a couple of very funny set pieces, and a set piece that takes place in a takeaway food place but has one of the best jokes i've seen in the film this year, so i thought it was quite charming and what i liked was exactly what you said, it is about friendship and it manages to make you believe in those characters as friends, even when everything else going on around them is a bit ridiculous and a bit caricatured, you do believe in the friendship group and i like that. anyway, it's got pirates and i enjoyed it very

next time. hello there. the winds are picking up now, particularly across more northeastern parts of the uk, where we have this red wind warning from the met office — the winds for a while gusting 80—90 mph, some significant disruption and a danger to life. it's coastal areas of eastern scotland and the northeast of england covered by that warning until the early hours of the morning. there'll be some very big and dangerous waves around, as well. the storm itself, arwen, drifting drifting down into the southern north sea, will drag down stronger winds southwards across pretty much the whole of the country. and we still have amber wind warnings more widely across eastern scotland, the northeast of england until the middle part of saturday morning — but also across the north and west of wales, and far southwest of england.

the winds could be gusting 60—70 mph overnight into saturday morning. we also have an added hazard — we've seen snow already in scotland, that'll move down onto the pennines, could be some significant falls here perhaps into the welsh hills, and a mixture of rain, sleet and snow moving down across the midlands into southern england — meaning temperatures later in the night will be not far away from freezing. the strength of the wind perhaps more significant for much of the country, notjust windy in the northeast but widely very windy, especially also down some of those irish sea coasts. we still have that mixture of rain, but also some sleet and snow perhaps mainly over the hills, and that wetter weather will push its way towards more eastern parts of england, allowing many other areas to brighten up with some sunshine. still a few wintry showers, especially across scotland. and it'll be a cold day, temperatures perhaps no better than 3—4 celsius — and, whilst the winds do ease down a bit in the afternoon, it'll still feel significantly colder in the wind. now the winds do tend to ease and things start to calm down on saturday night, the storm moves away, the winds start to drop and we start sunday with a widespread frost. this weak weather front will bring more cloud and a few spots of rain

into northern ireland — but ahead of it we're in the colder air, there'll be more wintry showers coming down across scotland, running down these north sea coasts where it's windy for a while. the winds continue to ease — and it won't be as windy on sunday, but it's still cold even with some sunshine. it's slowly milder from the west early next week, but at the moment, all eyes on storm arwen, bringing widespread gales, particularly windy in the northeast, some snow over the hills, and some further disruption.
