got to content with storm corrie, which is going to batter northern parts of the country this evening and overnight and even into the start of monday. so there it is, storm corrie coming in off the atlantic, squeezing the isobars as it moves across the north of the country through the overnight period. office yellow warning for the weather over much of the north of the country, up to 80 mph or more across the northern half of scotland where we have an amber warning in force. with that strong wind, a band of rain will spread south and east followed by blustery showers across the north and west, wintry over northern and western scotland, and also a risk of ice by the end of the night as it will be pretty cold. further south, less cold than what we have had the previous night. into monday, storm corrie clears away slowly, the strong winds eventually ease down but it will be a windy start across northern and eastern areas. as the storm clears, it leaves a blustery day with sunshine
