a chilly weekend in augusta for the golf as we had here in the uk, but we have flipped the coin and bringing things in off the atlantic so it is milder. with the milder air often comes the cloud as well. this is the next few days, the set up his temperatures will be a little above average, around about the mid—teens, the mid—to—high teens. with it, some rain around at the moment, heavy showers and thunderstorms in north wales, northern ireland and the north west. more waiting to come in this evening and overnight towards the south—west and eventually making their way into central and southern england and wales. with the cloud around and the rain tonight, it will be mild. as this morning, largely frost—free. a little grey to start tuesday and on the whole, a lot of cloud even in eastern areas where we had plenty of sunshine today, there is more cloud around. and rain pushing through northern ireland and into scotland, northern england, and

banks of showers afterwards which could be heavy with some thunder around because temperatures again will respond to any sunshine ahead of that band of showers in eastern areas, we might see 20 tomorrow and we had 19 today. brighter skies following behind towards the west. through the evening and overnight the rain and showers fade pushing towards the north, the milder air eventually reaching the northern isles. tomorrow night again on the mild side, but by wednesday with those weather systems having moved out of the way, temporarily, we should have a drier day for many. can't rule out showers and again, i can't rule out they won't be heavy because with the strength of the april sunshine and temperatures leaping into the mid—to—high teens, there could be a rumble once again, but many places hopefully escaping them. and the easter weekend, more rain potentially on thursday and moving away, then high pressure may establish itself. so bright and dry and warm, it isjust establish itself. so bright and dry and warm, it is just how effective that high pressure will be at keeping a weather front coming off the atlantic at bay. so that is the

as we mentioned, rory mcilroy played the round of his life. an eagle and six birdies gave him an impressive 64 on sunday — it came too late to challenge scheffler, but mcilroy wasn't focused on that. i don't think i have ever walked away from this tournament as happy as i am today. i have played a really good round of golf. it is my best ever finish at augusta. it is not quite enough, but i will certainly look back on this day with very fond memories and it gives me confidence going forward not only into the next masters next year, but to the rest of the season as well. it was fun to cap off a day like that today with a shot like that. it was just that seen on 18 with colin going after me, it was really cool to be part of. i have had a few of the rounds where i maybe haven't beenin the rounds where i maybe haven't been in contention so the more i do it, the more memories i build up. if
