here's louise lear. we got there in the end today, it was a cloudy start but glorious eventually across england and wales and this was kentjust a little earlier. slightly different story further north and west, more of a breeze, cooler and showery as well. northumberland has those threatening skies and this shows what we are likely to see this weekend. certainly saturday is the better of the two days, dry and warm, but there will be more showers becoming more frequent as the weekend continues. that is because we have high pressure building at the moment, the isobars opening up and the wind is falling light and so very pleasant indeed with lots of dry weather around but we need to point out this cloud of blue, that is a showers at will arrive later on saturday. saturday is a quiet day, a few isolated showers north—west but generally speaking plain sailing, high teens like me through scotland and northern ireland, may be low 20s

across england and wales. by the end of the evening, we will start to see some showers developing across the isles of scilly, moving through cornwall, into wales and gradually they will spread through the midlands into south—east england. some potentially turning heavy and thundery, it is great news for gardeners and growers and not if you are trying to get a good night's sleep and it could linger first thing on sunday morning. a few more nuisance showers on sunday developing across north wales, stretching into the north of england towards the scottish border. sunday is more hit and mist under the showers perhaps not quite as warm. if you dodge them and keep the sunshine, low 20s. but quite a volatile night, sunday into monday, showers were widespread, moving their way from the south and gradually pushing into southern scotland as well. that means on monday we could start off again with some showers, england and wales through the week will be dry and relatively warm but still plenty of showers threatening further north

online, it could be a spectacular weekend for chelsea or liverpool, they could be halfway towards a trouble or a quadruple. we will wait and see. all of us —— from all of us here at wembley, thank you for watching, good night. hello, it was a bright and breezy day for most of us today. saturday's not looking bad at all, with more sunny spells in the forecast, but there are thundery showers also predicted on saturday night into sunday morning. in the short term, it is quiet. the weather front high pressure is building from the south, but low pressure is a fairly close to the north of the country. you can see that thick cloud, it wasn't that bright and breezy across scotland, it was quite windy with occasional showers and
6:58 pm
quite cloudy conditions in the western isles. through the course of the night, i think it is a case of clear spells in eastern scotland, the south of scotland and everywhere south of that. this a bit of mist performing in the countryside early on a saturday morning. the temperatures will range from a fairly chilly 6 degrees in newcastle to 11 in cardiff. the high—pressure centres across northern france on saturday, it spreads northwards, with some hints of showers already approaching us late on saturday, but concentrating on the first part of the day, beautiful starts, with lots of sunny spells, just scattered fair weather clouds in the afternoon and 811 across the bulk of england, temperatures in the low 20s away from the coast and then elsewhere, i think we will get at least the high teens. on those thundery showers, we think the showers will reach the south first, and then it through the course of saturday nights, spread further north and east and i think
6:59 pm
the risk of thunder and lightning is higher the further east you are. this is a sunday morning, you can still see some showers around, they should be fading and then moving northwards. on a sunday, it could be cloudy and showery for a few of us for a while in the north of england and also wales, but that won't last very long, that break because further showers expected eight on sunday and into monday. we will then enter a fairly unsettled spell of weather as we head into next week. i think more northern and western areas are likely to catch some showers, further south showers as well, but it will stay on the warm side, 25 by tuesday in london.
