the younger generation must be told | of what went on all these years ago. | and it's also to pay tribute to the sailors, soldiers, i airmen and civilians _ who gave their lives for the freedom that we enjoy today. that was 98—year—old bernard morgan ending that report by graham satchell. time for a look at the weather. here's nick miller. a big number weather day out there today, 21 degrees the top temperature in london. widely we have been in the high teens today, 18 in blackpool and edinburgh. the second column is the average for the time of year. clearly we are well

above that and will be for the rest of the month. we have the dilemma now, concerns of climate change, benefits of not having the heating on as much. we are dragging in the airfrom a long way on as much. we are dragging in the air from a long way south of the uk. with low pressure anchored to the west, we are seeing spells of wet and windy weather. we have another one sweeping the wet weather through into tomorrow morning, then clearing to sunny spells and the chance of a shower. patchy rain in scotland will clear away northwards. here is the wetter weather after midnight, running into western scotland tomorrow morning. the risk of disruption, coastal gales in the west and another mild night. tomorrow morning wet already in the west, that rain feeds north and east. not too much at all for east anglia and south england. behind it, it clears away for an afternoon of sunny spells. largely dry with the chance of a shower. it is a windy

side making history. hello again. a month on from its demise, worcester warriors have a possible future with the man who was there at the end hoping to provide a new beginning for the former premiership club. their old director of rugby steve diamond has revealed he's leading one of two consortiums looking to take over at sixways, and even though it's not long since worcester were forced into administration and lost their place in rugby's elite, he's not promising a resurrected team will return there immediately. it's took us a month to put the plan together. we presented last week to the rfq together. we presented last week to the rfc) and to the administrators,

and i think now we need, a decision needs to be made come into play that position is for the right organisation to not only take all of that but to get worchester where he is back on the map. it will take us two or three, maybe four years to do that. but when they do come back to the premiership, we will stay there. that's what we need. that will truly be a case of me saying i left this place in a far better position than when i found it. laura scott, one of the peeple — when i found it. laura scott, one of the peeple to _ when i found it. laura scott, one of the people to speak— when i found it. laura scott, one of the people to speak to _ when i found it. laura scott, one of the people to speak to steve - when i found it. laura scott, one of. the people to speak to steve dymond today, we heard what steve dymond wants to do. what this has planned? how will he do it? the wants to do. what this has planned? how will he do it?— how will he do it? the fact that he is interested _ how will he do it? the fact that he is interested in _ how will he do it? the fact that he is interested in launching - how will he do it? the fact that he is interested in launching a - how will he do it? the fact that he is interested in launching a bid - is interested in launching a bid to take over the club will come as a surprise to a lot of people involved. he's kept his powder dry for much of the last month, and it's been exactly a month to the day since worchester went into administration. there's obviously been a lot of uncertainty about the future of the club, but it will look

like. relegation to the championship and what that will mean and when they might return to the premiership. this big announcement has come from steve dymond, although it is important to note that he is the financial backer of this bed. that is two unnamed investors. what steve dymond would be as the chief executive of the club going forward and he hinted that he might stay on as director of rugby. he simply doesn't think you need a chief executive director of rugby. he would also have the former leicester tigers chief executive on a non—executive director. and what is essentially their vision for rescuing the club and returning it to being the main of as they drive to being the main of as they drive to becoming sustainable. that is fundamental to their plan, and that is, i suppose, fundamental to their plan, and that is, isuppose, while fundamental to their plan, and that is, i suppose, while he is not rushing to say they will be back in the premiership after a year in the championship. he thinks it's going project, three to four years to get back to being able to compete in the

travelling to the host nation, australia has become the first team that has qualified for the tournament to criticise the country's human rights record. the players have released a video saying countless migrant workers have suffered and reforms to the conditions they face need to be improved. here are some of the 16 socceroos involved in the statement. we have learned the decision to host the world cup in qatar which resulted in the suffering and harm of countless of our fellow workers stop with these countless workers who severed notjust numbers. like the migrants that have shaped our country and our football, the migrants that have shaped our country and ourfootball, they process the same courage and determination to a better life. this determination to a better life. as players we support the lgbtq community. in qatar, people are not free to love the person they choose. addressing these issues is not hazy and we do not have all the answers. building and wood workers international and international trade — international and international trade union confederation seeking to embed _ trade union confederation seeking to embed reforms and establish a lasting — embed reforms and establish a lasting legacy in qatar.

they've acknowledged changes that have already been made, but they come on to say that that legacy needs to be more substantial once the world cup is over. when the final whistle is blown, they need to more substantial changes and continuing this movement towards what can be expected from a world that takes human rights at its highest degree. the qatar world cup's supreme committee for delivery and legacy have responded to the video with a statement that claims new laws and reforms often take time to bed in, including in australia. they also say, "we commend footballers using their platforms to raise awareness for important matters. we have committed every effort to ensuring that this world cup has had a transformative impact on improving lives, especially for those involved in constructing the competition and non—competition venues we're responsible for. no country is perfect, and every country —

of ian poulter, sergio garcia and henrik stenson jeopardised potentially their future in the ryder cup byjoining liv golf. mcelroy described that as something of a betrayal, and i asked ian poulterfor of a betrayal, and i asked ian poulter for his reaction to that. betrayal? we can still qualify for the teanr, — betrayal? we can still qualify for the team, as far as i'm aware, unless we've been totally disqualified. i'm still, you know, ready— disqualified. i'm still, you know, ready to — disqualified. i'm still, you know, ready to play as much as i possibly can and _ ready to play as much as i possibly can and make that team. my commitment to the ryder cup i think .oes commitment to the ryder cup i think goes before me. i don't think i should — goes before me. i don't think i should ever come in question. and ian should ever come in question. and ian poulter — should ever come in question. and ian poulter and _ should ever come in question. fific ian poulter and many others have been put up in front of the press to ask those questions are others, because i guess liv golf, ahead of this final event in the note that inaugural series, are feeling pretty bullish about how it's progressed and how it finds itself now where you are in miami.—
