nicholas witchell, bbc news. the first state visit of the king's reign. time for a look at the weather here's susan powell. as areas of low pressure go, this one in the atlantic is something of a beaut, swirling around to the west at the moment. that is in the bank for tomorrow but now, much clearer skies across the uk, it has turned chilly in some areas with fog developing across scotland and the north—east of england. temperatures have dipped close to freezing in mid wales at the moment but they are going to start to lift overnight because that area of low pressure will kick up the wind and feed in the cloud and the rain arrives in the cloud and the rain arrives in the south—west, wales and northern ireland by the end of the night. two very different starts to the day between the south—west and the north—east. this front will work its way across all areas of the uk quite promptly through the morning, although tending to store somewhat across scotland through the afternoon so some sicko cloud and
