hello there. with high pressure nearby, it's going to stay largely fine, dry and settled for the rest of the week through the weekend and indeed into the start of next week as well. tonight is going to be mainly dry with clear spells in the south, but it will be breezier with more cloud and rain in towards the north of the uk. you can see more isobars here and also weather fronts, which will bring some splashes of rain to northern and western scotland at times. but i think for southern scotland, northern ireland, much of england and wales tonight it will be largely dry. clearer spells across central and southern areas. so it's here where we're likely to see those temperatures fall away again with a frost here. further north, because of the breeze and the cloud, it will be less cold. and then for friday, again, cloudier, breezy across the north of the uk, splashes of rain for the north and west of scotland. maybe some drizzly rain for western england, west wales.
