she won't stop asking questions. well, it makes me very sad, and 80 years is a long time, and by the time 100 years comes, i won't be here, so i've got a limited time to find these men. dame mary richardson finishing that report from hugh pym. time for a look at the weather. here's chris fawkes. hello. most of us had a decent day of weather. there was plenty of sunshine around, light winds and sunny skies. this fine weather was down to an area of high pressure, here it is. we reckon this is the first one we've had for over three weeks, and it is already set to push off. looking at tomorrow, we are already back to the unsettled theme with more rain on the way. there are already places in the uk that have seen well over double the average rainfall this month and there is loads more to come over the next few

days, so a change back to unsettled weather conditions i'm afraid. overnight tonight, although we start with clear skies and dry weather, as we go through the night this rain band moves in off the atlantic with the wind picking up, and eventually it gets into wales, western england and western scotland. it will lift temperatures towards the end of the night, whereas across eastern parts of scotland and england, a few areas of scotland and england, a few areas of frost to start the day tomorrow. a bright start across the north—east, but otherwise outbreaks of rain spreading it from the south—west. the weather does turn brighter, a mixture of heavy showers with brighter condition spreading into western areas through the day across western wales and england. milder, above average for the time of year but otherwise still a little on the chilly side. on wednesday we have the south—westerly winds spreading milder air in off the atlantic, but it is going to be quite an unsubtle day. the best of the weather in the morning across eastern areas with some sunshine, and in the west we start to see thundery downpours working on, some

hello there and welcome along to the programme. the questions over what next for tottenham hotspur continue to mount today after the club parted ways with antonio conte by mutual consent. it follows conte*s extraordinary outburst, after their draw with southampton this month, where he called out the players, and the club's hierarchy, for their lack of fight, and ulitmately lack of success. cristian stellini, with ryan mason as deputy will take charge till the end of the season. joe wilson reports. football managers come and go but no one has played his farewell scene quite like him. what turned out to be his last media conference, he aimed to blame at practically everyone. i see selfish players,

i see players that don't want to help each other. they don't want to play under pressure, they don't want to play under stress, it is easy this way. totte n ha m tottenham has this. 20 years, there is the honour and they never won something. but why? only, the fault is only for the club or for every manager that stayed here and i have seen the manager that tottenham had. well, don't overlook the 2008 the cup. that was something. marcio pochettino took spurs took the lead in 2019. but he was replaced byjose mourinho. mason was an interim manager and he is still at the club. all these managers have had harry kane, even he can't win matches alone. overseeing everything has been

tottenham's chairman and sometimes in the eyes of supporters, the main problem. what we want to see from the club is a clear sense of direction, a clear strategy. we want to know whether club is moving forward, we want to see attractive football on the pitch and a clear commitment to building the club and competing for trophies. antonio conte came to spurs with an excellent reputation. he often displayed frustration. recall his handshake the became an arm wrestle. yet the maquis was not happy with the transfer window, he wasn't happy with the transfer window. probably didn't get the players he wanted or whatever. but they move on again and will be looking for another manager at the end of the season. they built a stadium worthy of champions. the structure is inspiring that the club's culture, if you believe the last manager, is billed to fail. believe the last manager, is billed to fail. so the search is on for another managerfor spurs — who are still 11th in the premier league, but a seemingly

bbc sport poll found two big favourites for one is a romantic, mauricio pochettino, the former manager, took spurs to a champions league final. he still loved by many of the club fans copy is a connection with tottenham and still has a home in the area. he has spoken about wanted to come back to spurs sometime in the future and doesn't currently have a club. he is only 35, he is onlyjust left buyer in munich but has a reputation as being a tactically innovative coach who plays attacking football. that would appeal to daniel levy who spoken about spurs dna be all about that. whether it's other people, you can look at the embossed who is so impressed the season with football being played down on the south. the frankfurt bosses turned a really well—functioning premier league size for that is spurs want to completely change the way they play they could get henrique who was in charge of spain or barcelona other names could come into the frame. what spurs fans

three quality teams. we take in england as a family. we're trying to push the players to get better. the more you play against top—quality opposition the better you should get. we showed in the past that we're capable of getting results against good teams. that's what we have to do again tomorrow night. that's what we have to do again tomorrow night. so, while there's been no premier league or championship action recently — there was plenty of drama in the wsl, on womens football weekend and a real title race brewing. manchester city's 2—0 win against chelsea yesterday saw them leapfrog their opponents in to second — who having lost their first league game since the start of the season, are now down to third. it means the top four are separated byjust three points. huge relief, huge confidence. we felt the same when we beat arsenal. it gives you real confidence and momentum to go on and achieve big things. chelsea are still in the front seat, they are a good team, they know how to win. this is a good day for us but we got begin coming up day for us but we got begin coming up again next week.

forest green for taking a lead. football traditionally has been scared to do things any other way than how they have always done it. i'll employ this person because that's the way of always done it. they coach the same way when they were coached as players. the fact that they renamed the road another way is so inspirational and making the experience of players better because we have a more diverse workforce. looking at problems differently, making clubs more successfully, i don't know why we haven't done it sooner. hannah believes the next logical step is to see a woman coaching at first team level in the men's game. it will come sooner than you think. the success of the lioness having, her name gets bandied around at chelsea because she is good. there are loads of female coaches who could quite happily coach at this level, no doubt and i think it is ground—breaking to see that. she is shaping the lives of these young men at forest green but also the future of the game. at forest green but also the future of the game.
