lead. now to a big row brewing in the world of amateur boxing, after a number of nations, including great britain and the usa, broke away from the international boxing association to form their own, new world governing body. the sports future in the olympics from 2028 onwards has been in doubt after the international olympic committee previously criticised a lack of transparency and governance in boxing at the amateur level. the new federation will be called world boxing and the body now hopes to work with the ioc to try and rebuild relationships and bring it back into olympic plans. will boxing has been established by a group of like—minded national leaders from boxing and we have established world boxing because we were facing a nightmare, the nightmare of losing olympic recognition. there must be real willingness to keep boxing olympic, this is such an important goal because not only for the next

generations, i think the sport will be dead if we lose our olympic recognition. we are fighting to keep the olympic dream alive for our grandchildren. well following the news of the breakaway organisation, the iba have responded saying they will sanction and ban any nation from competing, if they decide to join any other boxing association. in a statement, the iba secretary general and ceo, george yerolimpos said: "for those involved in the creation of the rogue international boxing organization and the nations who claim to be members of it, there is no doubt that the iba will reserve its rights to claim damages from any person who is harming the iba's activities and reputation, and/or trying to achieve exclusion of the iba from the olympic family." the washington commanders owner dan snyder is close to a deal to sell the nfl franchise to an investment group led byjosh harris and including former nba star magicjohnson, according to the nfl network. the report said that while the deal is not final

and no agreement has been sent to the nfl's offices, the parties are close to a deal valued atjust below $6 billion. snyder who bought the franchise for $800 million has owned the commanders, formerly the washington redskins, since 1999 but his ownership has been heavily criticised and faced several investigations. and finally, "don't look down" is not only the name of this project, but also quite a handy bit of advice when it comes to bmx tricks in a hot air balloon 2,000 feet in the sky. professional bmx rider kriss kyle from scotland is who you see doing tricks on this flying skate park above the cotswolds in england, don't worry, he wears a parachute while on the bike! his aim is to show off the endless potential of the bmx to up—and—coming riders.

1:57 am
this area of low pressure moves rain across southern wales, southern of england and dives into northern france. i think away from that for scotland and northern ireland there is another day of sunshine and showers, some of them slow—moving as well. as that low pressure works into france it changes the wind flow and we get this zone of convergence whether winds bash together, a big line of storm. maybe we will get an odd funnel cloud even from that kind of area. highs to the skies. sunshine comes out even though temperatures will be below everywhere, probably won't feel too bad but where cloudy, ten, 11 degrees, that is not going to feel too great but on into the weekend we go and the prospect is the weather is going to turn drier, sunnier and a good deal warmer as pressure rises and we start to get these milder southerly winds blowing their way across the country both saturday and into sunday as well. weatherwise not a bad start to the weekend, most of us will see some spells of sunshine, still a few showers left over for eastern areas
1:58 am
of england and there is the threat of it turning about cloudier for northern ireland into the afternoon, maybe with an odd patch of light rain in the extreme west. it's starting to get warmer and 15 degrees given the light winds for glasgow and london, it should feel pleasant with the sunshine you will have. a lot of dry and reasonably sunny weather i think for most of us on sunday. that said, probably a bit more in the way of cloud across north—western areas with an odd spot of light rain, temperatures continuing to climb. 15 in liverpool and manchester, 17 in london and that should feel pleasantly warm. high—pressure hangs around next week so a lot of dry weather to come with some warm april spells of sunshine but fairly brisk winds developing in the south—east towards the middle part of the week.
