good morning. welcome to the phone and this morning with some excellent topics i know you will want to get involved in. another day. another sport. another protest. this time on snooker*s hallowed green baize... play stopped at the world championship when a protestor climbed on the table and covered it in orange powder. just stop oil — the climate change activists — have claimed responsbility: "new oil and gas will snooker us" they say. appropriately, they say that!
9:01 am
they want the government to immediately stop all new uk fossil fuel projects and sport institutions to help them do that. this the latest in a number of headline grabbing protests: blocking roads, defacing a memorial for captain sir tom moore, throwing orange soup at van gogh's sunflowers, tying themselves to the goalposts during premier league matches. all that and more to come. we are facing an existential threat. this nougat protest, is it a cue for a change? get in touch. —— the snuggle protest.

here is the news from dan brennan. thank you. good morning. energy firms have agreed a new code of practice, which will stop them forcibly installing prepayment meters in the homes of anyone over 85. the regulator, ofgem, brought in a temporary ban in february — after debt agencies working for british gas were found to be breaking into the properties of some vulnerable customers to fit them. official figures show wages rose by 6.6 per cent in the three months to february compared with the previous year. that's higher than most economists were expecting — but rising prices mean earnings are still falling in real terms. mps are calling on ministers to do much more to end what they call the "appalling" disparity in deaths during pregnancy and childbirth between black, asian and white women. the government says it's focusing on improving outcomes for all mothers. free—range eggs will return to supermarket shelves within days, after the government lifted an order to keep poultry inside to reduce the spread of avian influenza. there've been more than 330 cases of bird flu in the uk since october 2021.

people, you know, it is not like we want to stop people's enjoyment of the game. but unfortunately, like, i don't think that some paint is extreme. i think what is extreme is the fact that you were talking earlier on your programme, going into it about pregnancy and race, well, the climate crisis is racist. we are predicting potentially this summer reaching wet bulb temperatures, which means that the humidity is so extreme, along with the temperature, that it is impossible for human beings to survive outside, that will happen in parts of the world which have least caused the problem, and our government is pushing ahead with oil and gas, and that is an act of genocide. that is why our actions, they are non—violent, they are just a spectacle, and it is to get attention, because that is how our media works. we have to do the actions to get the attention. we need a diversity of tactics, right?

didn't do anything and i told her i could feel the head of the baby coming out and she walked straight out. literally came back ten minutes later and she was like push, now, i can see the baby is out, horrific experience at the age of 22. gave birth literally within five minutes and i would have been left to my own devices are 22 with no pastor prior education on how to give birth by myself. my mum came in, absolutely livid, the after—care was not any better. i was supposed to go for a three month checkup, as you may or may not know, when you give birth in the uk you have what they call a three month checkup, a postnatal... i remember, i remember! mr; i remember, i remember! ij*i appointment i remember, i remember! m1: appointment was i remember, i remember! m1 appointment was cancelled and when i go to my three month checkup which ended up being four months, i was

pregnant, again, no education on follow—up treatment, any precipitation to having sex after giving birth, nothing. so i was pregnant, again. i did not even know, i thought at 22, giving birth, your body was actually less likely to give birth because i had red some things about breast—feeding after pregnancy and all this and that but these are old wives tales and you are a more fertile after giving birth, actually and i was already pregnant with my daughter. i had no idea until i got to the checkup and the education they were supposed to give me which was to go on birth control, unfortunately was a little bit too late! that was so my daughter came into the world, literally, my son and my daughter are 12 months apart. and a week apart. so yes, no after—care, no apology from the midwives —— we had
