the details and eradicate some of the negative details. keep adding the quality details and finding that balance. i was pleased with tonight other than the fact that we didn't get the three points. bad start, good response. ijust felt for a team with as good as players that we have there were too many unforced errors today which probably cost us. it's the worst we have played in the four game so far if i'm honest. a bit disappointed with that performance and thought it is you don't lose these games. athletic bilbao kept themselves in the hunt for european qualification as a stoppage—time penalty salvaged a h la liga draw at mallorca. with top—six rivals real betis having lost 4—0 at barcelona on saturday, athletic were looking to get their own campaign back on track following defeat last time out against in—form sevilla. bilbao scored a penalty to equalise in the 96th minute. in monday's late match, girona won 2—0 at sevilla.

to make sure it wouldn't be kicked out. yeah, the ioc concerns, aren't they, alex? is corruption of the iba's government governance the way they've been running competitions, which is why they've taken control of it leading up to the the paris leading up to the paris games? the world championships are taking place at the moment in tashkent. a number of countries have boycotted those and probably the same countries that have formed this breakaway to to challenge against the iba. where are we at with that? yes. and a number of countries, they've actually boycotted this event because boxing has decided to allow athletes from russia and belarus to compete under their national flags. and that's contravenes ioc guidance, which says they could compete but only as individual neutral athletes. so that's why countries have boycotted the events. it was the same reason they boycotted the women's

world championships in delhi recently, and kremlev was asked about the breakaway governing body announced last month and said that they had to do something about boxing's future in the olympics. they wanted to rescue the sport so that it would be part of the olympics in the future. and kremlev suggested that he shouldn't actually be paying much attention to these people. he said that they had decided this in a garage, in his words, and he described people who criticize the iba as as like hyenas and predators who don't belong in the sport. so he was very, very dismissive of, well, world boxing, as they're called. he said there's only one governing body for boxing at international level, and that is the iba. are we going to get any resolution on this? boxing has been a constant for over 100 years in the olympics. you say kremlev doesn't think that boxing needs the olympics. what way are we heading? is it going to be a deadline for all this? it's a good question. well, boxing at the moment, they're hoping to speak

to the ioc this week and get some sort of an idea of whether they'll be allowed to go forward with their venture, some sort of official recognition from the ioc. it's difficult to know when or how the ioc are going to accept what the iba is saying them, unless they've made any major changes. and the decision has to be made. perhaps this year, certainly early next year on the olympic programme in los angeles. the ioc wants boxing in. it's got no fight, no problem with boxers themselves. it's just with the organizing body. basketball player brittney griner says she's finding her feet again, following her return from russia where she spent ten months in detention on drug charges. the 32—year—old seven time wnba all—star returned to america in a prisoner swap in december. she's now taken part in her first practice at a phoenix mercury training camp and says she's happy to be back playing. emotional thinking about it

12:56 am
hello there. weatherfor the week ahead coming up. but first of all, just a quick look back at march and april because for many parts it has been particularly wet, at least double the amount of april average rainfall for parts of kent. but combined with march, march and april in parts of kent have been the wettest for 90 years. not as wet, though, again across the north west of scotland. but the change came through monday to chillier air coming down from the arctic, particularly for northern and eastern areas, though the day on tuesday starts with a frost in parts of scotland. really chilly start here, some mist and fog and for the south, in fact, some sea fog around the irish sea coast. so there could be some fairly dull weather to start some of the thicker clouds in the east producing the spotted drizzle. but actually i think it'll be dry for most with some brightness or some sunshine coming through and with the light winds, even though temperatures will be lower than average for the time of year, and i'll show you that in a second, i think it'll feel pleasant enough and it's still strong sunshine.
12:57 am
and the reason for that chill is because of that air coming down from the arctic, just seven or eight degrees across the northern isles when at this time of year you'd normally see around about 11 degrees even further south in london, a few degrees lower than we saw to start may. and as i say, that's because of the origin of that air. but it's not going to stop those pollen levels from getting high across northern ireland, much of central and western england and wales as well. but later in the day we do start to pick up this next weather front brushing, thicker cloud and some patchy rain into northern ireland and to western scotland. that's where the front withers through the night here. so it's a little bit milder actually further south and east. instead, we get that chilly start first thing wednesday with that high pressure close by and that cold air as well starting to feed in on this easterly breeze whilst further north. we've got some atlantic influence that's starting to get a little bit milder, but there'll be patchy rain and drizzle, cloudier skies for northern scotland during the day on wednesday and certainly for northern ireland and western parts of scotland too. so temperatures won't be quite so high as tuesday for the likes of northern
12:58 am
ireland. monday either so 15 or 60s where we see some sunshine coming through and we should see some of the south on wednesday and for a time on thursday. but by thursday, potentially some more substantial rain being thrown our way, showery rain. so some of it will be heavy. some of it may not get across into eastern areas, but as it's coming around an area of low pressure pushing up from the south, it will mean milder airfor most. but that low pressure sitting out in the atlanticjust continues to throw bands of showers or longer spells of rain our way, right the way through the rest of the week and into the weekend, as you can see. so low pressure driving the weather, the winds from the southwest. so it's a little less cold, but we will have quite a bit of cloud and at times some downpours because there's quite a bit of energy in the sun at this time of year. so expect some thunder and lightning and some of those heavier, slow moving downpours at times. but temperatures are recovering a little bit, as you can see, at 15 to 17 in the south, it's not too far away from the average. once again, the devil's in the details as we head into the weekend.
12:59 am
how quickly these bands of showery rain will head eastwards. it's a little bit open to interpretation. so we will, of course, as ever, keep you updated. do stay tuned to the forecasts. 1a to 17, though, the highs across the uk as we go into saturday, those sort of temperatures similar as we go into sunday, monday, tuesday. but as you can see, it's a very unsettled looking picture with some heavy showers around, some rumbles of thunder as well. so plenty of scope for change. don't take that as red. please stay tuned.
