excited, a bit nervous. obviously a big day ahead but can't wait, actually. the commissioner of london's metropolitan police sir mark rowley says security for the coronation will be the biggest operation in the force's history. this is an immense operation, and in fact, tomorrow, saturday, it would be the biggest single deployment we have done in london, ever, for this operation. there will be well over 11,500 officers involved. our other main story this hour: in england, the conservatives suffer significant council losses in local election results. and the world health organization says covid—19 no longer represents a "global health emergency", a major step towards ending the pandemic. welcome to bbc news. i'm christian fraser, live at buckingham palace where final plans are being put

these occasions, do you overdressed or overbearing it's the stuff to people from that that sort of thing? i get all of that, the debate about with a coronation class and the fact that we don't you have the final bill at the moment. for what it is going to be and whether it would be upwards of £100 million. i understand all of that but on the other hand, when you're actually in the coronation service, to turn up in a rather dowdy outfit, if you are going to go to the coronation and you're going to be one of the very few people, comparatively, compared to the queens coronation, who received an invitation. i think at that moment the onus is on you slightly to examine it's up just a tad. so, going is something less than the best you can get for coronation anyway wassup we will see tomorrow. i had an interesting conversation with the bishop of durham when i was speaking to him, we had a great chat about the

process and how king charles was feeling when he came earlier today for the rehearsal. he said the king seemed completely calm us up they had been through several rehearsals and he seemed calm. he pointed out that all of the rehearsals took place in secret because none of them want to go to the front door. that front door hasn't been used at westminster abbey for the whole week because i didn't want any nosy members of the press seen who was going in and out. he said that his whole focus will be on making sure the crown stays on the kings head. so it's interesting what you are saying there about it ways to kilos or £4 are two bags of flour or whatever it was. everyone will be holding our breath to make sure it stays exactly in place. yes indeed, i'm sure stays exactly in place. yes indeed, i'm sure they _ stays exactly in place. yes indeed, i'm sure they will. _ stays exactly in place. yes indeed, i'm sure they will. doctor- stays exactly in place. yes indeed, i'm sure they will. doctorjoe - i'm sure they will. doctorjoe biden, i think, i'm sure they will. doctorjoe biden, ithink, hasjust i'm sure they will. doctorjoe biden, i think, hasjust rolled up to the session katty for sub how much interest will there be in the united states? i know you travel with people came specially for the
