hello there. it is a shame we had so much rain on saturday but things are looking up for sunday, it is going to be the best day of the coronation weekend. it is going to be drier and warmer, possibly the warmest day of the year so far but by the time we get to monday, back into cloud and wet weather. this is the cloud that will bring the rain from the atlantic on monday. in between two weather systems for sunday, hence that drier theme, in between this band of wet weather coming in from the atlantic and the wet weather we had earlier moving out to the north sea. so, dry, by the time we get to sunday morning, temperatures 9—11 c, it could be cloudy with a bit of mist and fog around, the sunshine will get to work on that lengthy spells of sunshine developing. towards the end of the morning the odd shower breaking out across scotland, drifting in two eastern parts of and, likely to stay dry with many places having a dry day the sunshine. it will be warmer, 19 in glasgow, 18 in belfast, top temperature around 21 in the south—east of england. it should be dry at

live from washington. this is bbc news. king charles crowned in a sacred and solemn ceremony — centuries old at westminster abbey. camilla was the first queen consort to be crowned since the late queen elizabeth, the queen mother in 1937. thousands lined the streets of london — the gold state coach with the newly crowned monarchs, slowly made it's way back to buckingham palace. and rounding off the day, a final appearance on the balcony for the king and queen. a fly—past ushering in a new era, for the realm.
