alleges that mr allen touched a tesco employee at the supermarket giant's shareholder meeting last year. it also claims mr allen — who is the former president of the confederation of british industry — "grabbed" a woman at one of its events in 2019. mr allen said that the claims are "simply untrue" and tesco said it has not received any complaints. our business correspondent emma simpson has more. just to sayjohn allen is one of the most senior, well—known businessman in the uk. as you say he was president of the cbi, one of the uk's leading business groups between 2018 and 2020, and he is currently the chair of tesco, the biggest supermarket and retailer in the uk. this morning, the guardian published a report about allegations of inappropriate and unprofessional behaviour by mr allen. they are that
