heavy rain continued overnight and after discussions this morning, the decision was taken to call off the grand prix. we had a statement from the president of formula 1, he has said it is such a tragedy to see what has happened... now in the longer term, formula 1 will look at the possibility of rescheduling this race but it seems unlikely that will happen because it is such a crowded calendar, so it seems there will not be a grand prix at imola this season. remember, the plan was for a record 23 races in this grand prix canada but it now seems there will be just 22.

of erling haaland has elevated them from a brilliant all—conquering domestic side to one that could potentially be considered one of the greatest club sides england has produced. just a handful of victories now away from a potential trouble matching what their cross city rivals did a generation ago, what an extraordinary achievement that would be. we saw pep guardiola talking about his legacy, he said it was already exceptional. i'm sure he's getting rather tired of being asked about not winning the champions league with manchester city. but it does seen from him this cool determination, he seemed aware of the unique position in which they now find themselves. find of the unique position in which they now find themselves.— of the unique position in which they now find themselves. and yet they do now find themselves. and yet they do now because — now find themselves. and yet they do now because of _ now find themselves. and yet they do now because of last _ now find themselves. and yet they do now because of last year, _ now find themselves. and yet they do now because of last year, and - now find themselves. and yet they do now because of last year, and it - now because of last year, and it wasn'tjust now because of last year, and it wasn't just manchester city that real madrid beat on that extraordinary run, they have the secret sauce, they know what to do in this competition. so if there is a calmness and serenity, they will be aware of what is up against him. make no mistake, this is the defining game in manchester city

plea for her successor rishi sunak to brand china as a threat to uk security. speaking in taipei, liz truss said she believes taiwan is a core interest to europe and compared tensions of china and taiwan to the russian invasion of ukraine. china sees self—ruled taiwan as a breakaway province that will eventually be under beijing's control. let's have a listen to what she had to say. a blockade or an invasion of taiwan would undermine freedom and democracy in europe, just as a russian invasion of ukraine, a successful domination of ukraine, would undermine freedom of democracy in the pacific. you only need to look at recent statements by a european chinese diplomat repudiating the independent existence of the baltic states to see that these two theatres are inextricably linked.
