what will be bringing the wet and windy weather. i say it is wet and windy, today the majority of the heavy rain will be across western hills. across central and eastern portions of the uk, although you could see a spot of rain just about anywhere today, it won't amount to very much. heavy rain continuing across the hills of wales, north—west england, turning wet and windy for northern ireland. the wind isn't that strong for scotland at the moment. however, this evening and overnight this band of rain pushes in and the winds will really strengthen. we talked about a blustery night, the strong south—westerly winds, notjust bringing the rain but also bringing a lot of mild air. so temperatures for many around 15, i6 celsius. tomorrow, back to the windy conditions and around the irish sea coast, i suspect we'll get wind gusts of around 60 to 70 miles an hour. strong enough to bring disruption. inland gusts of 40 to 50, may be even stronger than that
