evidence of potential psychotic symptomatology in the chat. professor blackwood makes reference to comments that the defendant made when at ravenswood secure unit. he described frequent crying, feeling low and hopeless, with low self esteem. he described voices commenting on his activity over the years. he described experiencing four figures since he was young. he was confused about their origin. 0n the 30th of december he spoke of what they would describe as visual hallucinations the previous night. professor blackwood noted that on the 5th of february 2022, the defendant said that the three male figures had gone. 0nly sarai remained. anti—psychotic medication was started at the beginning of march 2022. the three psychiatrists

have referred to psychological assessments carried out by dr murphy at broadmoor. he used the autism diagnostic observation schedule, second edition. it is presently considered to represent the gold standard in the assessment of autism spectrum disorder. dr murphy concluded that all the available evidence was consistent with the defendant being on the autism spectrum, although they were a number of uncertainties. dr murphy is an acknowledged expert in autism spectrum disorder. 0n the other hand jaswant singh chail completed two self—report instrument, for autism spectrum disorder, with professor blackwood. neither of his scores was suggestive of an autism spectrum disorder. using a diagnostic
