you're live with bbc news. the islamichhad group in gaza has released pictures tonight of israeli hostages who have not been seen since october 7th. the footage shows a woman in her 70s and a 13—year—old boy. the group says it is prepared to release both hostages for humanitarian and medical reasons, but only if what it calls "appropriate measures" are met. but heavy fighting is continuing in the ruins of gaza city between israeli forces and homes, and there are growing concerns about the conflict spreading wider in the region bringing in countries like yemen. 0ur international editor jeremy bowen has filed this report from israel. more palestinians walked down salah al—din street, the main route to southern gaza, after israel said they would not be attacked if they moved out of the northern battle zone. pauses in israeli combat operations were welcomed by the us as a significant first step.
